The Castle - Southend-on-Sea - Photo album

Just stopped for lunch and had the small fish and chips. Tasted amazing. Sat outside on a sunny day, with a sea view, perfect.

**Review for The Castle Pub, Southend on Sea** ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Attending a 60th birthday at The Castle Pub was nothing short of spectacular. This venue marries historic elegance with modern comforts, particularly in the spacious yet intimate upstairs area. What truly elevates the experience is the staf
For me personally, I think it is a great place to visit, spend the night, book a room and even go out on the town. The following day you can have breakfast and then lunch/dinner. What more could you ask for.
Lovely old building, popular seafront pub. Slightly away from the main strip but seafront prices! Car parking but I think it's for residents only as they have rooms available. Check the website. Pool table. Lots of outside seating.
What a friendly pub with a great atmosphere. Ideal for all ages and kid friendly too. Sit outside with a seaview. Staff amazing and reasonably priced.
Stopped for a drink but ended up having lunch, it was steak Thursday and I was dubious at first, a steak dinner with all the trimmings for £10.....well I had a wonderful surprise! Delicious meal, lovely steak!

Yummy food friendly staff, nice pub right on the seafront

Had a few pints in the authentic locals bar. Didn't try the food. Free pool (2 x tables) on Mondays. I would sta
Best food in southend! Anyone that says otherwise is mental! Food is always spot on from here!!!
Awesome staff, so brilliantly they put together a last minute birthday celeb. That meant a lot! Also it has a lovely local crowd, awesome shepherd's pie, and karaoke Saturday nights. Makes me second guess overrated London pubs...
Called in after a day of eating seaside 'rubbish' and what a find this place was. Plenty on the menu that wasn't just 'something and chips' and all at prices us northerners were very happy with. The veg was all fresh and cooked just perfect, not over cooked, the pies and shepherd's pie were wholes
