It is a lovely cafe/restaurant. It looks like it is newly renovated. The walls have fresh blue paint and nice decoration. Although the tables close to each other, you feel it is very spacious.

We visited here last year and as we were back in Southend at the weekend decided to do so again . Great place and very nice fish, had haddock and chips size was good. Also got given extra chips for free. Would be nice to have a note on desk saying cash only.
The Italian ice cream is excellent, with generous portions and reasonably priced. Stop here for ice-cream rather than any of the horrible Mr whippy joints along the beach.
Nice service, very attentive, has outdoor and indoor settings. Mushy peas should come complementary with fish and chips, rather than laying extra, especially if it's more expensive in nearby cafes. The actual fish was fried on the spot no microwave but was overcooked a little bit, minor faults.
Had to wait a little bit for the food but was well worth it. Staff almost forgot I was standing there waiting to be served. Fish and chips good portion and reasonably priced. Would come here again the next time I am in Southend
Very good quality fish and chips, I had the calamari which was very crisp but light. Service was not 100pc perfect, but it was a busy afternoon
