It was my first time here last night and I have to say it was without doubt one of the best I’ve ever been to. The food was amazing (highly recommend the lemon chicken), the atmosphere was excellent and the staff were brilliant. I will be coming back here when I come from Newcastle again. Excellent Service at Lings on Kings. Had a Fantastic evening at Lings on Kings. Can highly recommend the special buffet! Every dish was delicious and well prepared. Treated like old friends by the manageress. When the crispy duck and pancakes were served the freshly roasted duck was cut at our table, a very nice touch which we have never seen at a Chinese restaurant before. Towards the end of the evening my Mum accidentally spilled a glass of Red wine and the manageress kindly offered to have the affected top washed that evening to try and make sure that the wine did not stain it, giving her a brand new t-shirt to wear in its place for the rest of the night, and when my Mum collected it the following night it was like new - wonderful example of service going that extra mile. We ordered a take away very late on Saturday night, and I have to say the service was brilliant. The food itself was spot on, as sometimes I find with takeaway orders, the food quality can be affected, but with Lings on Kings, everything was piping hot, nothing was soggy and the Salt & Pepper Chips were crisp. The soup was delicious and packed separately to avoid any spillage, the rice meals and Chilli Beef were cooked perfectly. We had two mains and starters, alongside chips, all for under £30, great value, top class service .
Have visited this restaurant several times when visiting Southport & have never been disappointed. Alway made welcome by the owner & staff. Great value for money. We particularly like the Sixzzling lamb & Chilli beef. Followed by the toffee banana dessert. I would highly recommend.
First time we have eaten here this evening and wondering why we have never been before. Excellent service, food and a great menu. We will definitely return. Toilets were spotless and upstairs was a lovely addition with a second bar.

A warm welcome awaits at Lings on Kings! Our first ever visit. Very accommodating with the booking (which we had to alter owing to unexpected guests joining us last minute).....good service.....jovial atmosphere.....crispy duck.....complimentary pyrotechnic dessert - what more do you want!?
I had my 50th birthday party upstairs and I was surprised when we arrived because it was decorated with 50th birthday banner and bunting. Everything was set up and the most important thing is the Karaoke! because Filipinos love party with singing and dancing! The owner and their staff were very nice and helpful. There was also a guy who entertained us with his card tricks and can also sing! The place is very clean and also the toilet. We really had a great time! The food was also very good! Thanks Lings on Kings!
Great evening for end of term with work colleagues. We had the upstairs area and enjoyed the banquet followed by karaoke. King was fabulous - welcoming and friendly throughout. Food lovely and plenty of it. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Best Chinese food in north west! We travel over an hour at least once a month to go to lings on lings! We love it and worth the trip! Great food and atmosphere! Ling is wonderful and so kind! We are so grateful to everyone when we visit is a super restaurant full of great people and fantastic food!
absolutely fantastic food. everything was succulent and mouth watering. will be definatley coming back. very friendly staff and very tentative. food presentation on the plate looks great too but taste amazing. this has to be the best spare ribs I have ever tasted in the world.
