The Windmill - Southport

Great looking pub. the food was great, and the service was great. They had no problem serving 10 of us. My only complaint would be that, I informed them on my arrival that 1 person would not be coming , who it was, and what they had ordered, that was 1hrs 15 mins before our main course, but food was still cooked and I lost my deposit? It was, after all, only a burger, which I assume was not cooked in advance? That aside, I would return as everything else was fantastic.

Heard good things about this place, so wanted to see for ourselves. I went with my husband, after watching the air show. The staff were friendly and welcoming, Sheila the waitress was lovely to talk to, she said her son was the chef. The food was amazing, my husband had the spare ribs in barbecue sauce, he said they were the best he has ever had, the meat was so succulent, falling off the bone, the sauce was amazing. I had the scampi which was delicious. The lager and ale we had were lovely. It was very popular as it was full inside and out. The prices were very reasonable, we will definitely be returning. It is also dog friendly. We would highly recommend a visit.

Had a lovely meal and a few drinks here with friends. It's the first time I have been in a long while and I was impressed with the changes made by the current owners. The service from Rich and Hayley was excellent, they were friendly and cheerful all afternoon. Would recommend the place to anyone looking for a good pub meal or drink.

Called in on the off chance. Ordered food at the bar. The bar man Stuart was so attentive and helpful. The food was well presented, hot and very tasty. The table check was done, nothing was to much trouble. We we certainly be back again. The staff are amazing, the atmosphere lovely and the staff make the experience welcoming. Will definitely be back. Well done windmill 10 to of 10 all round

My mum has recently moved close to The Windmill so we went in as a party of four this evening for our evening meal and we were very impressed. The staff are very friendly and efficient, the food was lovely with excellent portions. The value for money was outstanding especially in the current climate. We couldn’t recommend The Windmill enough and we’re looking forward to returning soon!
