The George is shut,and has been for a while,however there is a lovely,bar , nearby called the Woolen Pig ,which serves all sorts of drinks,cakes and sandwiches

Better now the new owners have it. Feels more of a safe place to have a cheap pint. Excellent beer garden when the weather is right.

Great local, drinks are fairly cheap. The staff are always friendly and helpful, nice garden at the back, children and dog friendly.

Nice friendly staff with pool table and bouncy castle for the kids which they love. Would get 5 stars but the building is a bit tired, not that interferes with your drinking.

The George? ? Yes it's a lovely Building yes it's changed landlords and the food is spot on as with the 🍺. And they have a fun garden with blow up castle's. The kids will love it.it's secure so ye can have a beer eat some well cooked food. In the no ye kid's are safe. Ye relaxed and ye weekend has turned out great. 🔟/🔟 good staff.
