Local's Family Diner

We are new to this Area and wanted some Home Cooked food. I checked the web looking for locally owned and home cooked food. I found it funny the restaurant was called Local’s, but there are locally owned and the food was excellent. Home cooked, clean and friendly. The menu had several different kinds of food to choose from. We were greeted as we walked in the front door and seated. The restaurant is easy to get in and out of and is located just before getting into heavy traffic of South Port. I would highly recommend this restaurant, and I look forward returning.

This is the place to come for breakfast. By far the best in Southport. You will not be disappointed at all. Grab you the local special and you will not go hungry. The pancakes are amazing! The selection and the specials are great. There is something for everyone. Tell them bald Steve sent you to try this place out.

Great food and super service. Like every other place in the area it always takes a while to get a table. They offer a service to text you when the table is ready so you don’t have to sit in the heat and sun in the parking lot. The food is great and comes out pretty quick. I ordered blueberry pancakes that were very tasty. The bacon is nice and crispy as it should be.

I'm four hours away from home down here working and by half a chance I just stopped here yesterday to grab a coffee and sandwich for lunch which was delicious. And on top of that the service was absolutely phenomenal! I got off night shift a little bit ago and I came back this morning for breakfast. Different crew different food... I got just your basic All-American breakfast eggs grits toast sausage but it was the absolutely best breakfast I've ever eaten in my life and the young lady who served me today from the 'rapids' was just as sweet as they come. I hope to be coming this way again. I've never met such nice people in all my life. Thank you for your hospitality and great service!

A very popular local eatery. Food & prices are very good. Fast and courteous service. We will be going back. My wife had the blackened tuna which was amazing. Cooked and seasoned to perfection. I had the Fish & Chips and it was very good. Served with homemade potato chips and really good ranch dressing. A friendly place. If you have to wait for a table, it’s worth it.
