The stereotype of young workers with no personality DOES NOT APPLY at this cool place in downtown SP. I am 58 now and I get my share of "stare through me" service workers who are only pretending to work. The service is great and the coffee is extremely well chosen and prepared. I don't know for sure but I would not be surprised if they are roasting their own blends. The place looks small from the street but there is plenty of comfortable seating and the atmosphere is cozy.

Been going here for years. Wonderful staff, great drinks, and comfy seating. Great place to go to get some studying done or to grab a quick coffee. It’s also great for kids and has many options a child would enjoy. I highly recommend their smoothies and scones.

I needed coffee for a brunch Sunday morning after my daughter's wedding and Port City Java provided plenty of coffee for the event. The coffee stayed hot for the brunch. There were just a few drops left after the bruch. Their large carafes of coffee match their brewed cups of coffee from the shop. It was perfect. I got to take credit for supplying great coffee for our guests.

Julia was super nice. We came in to order with 15 minutes left before close. She was nice enough to let us order and got us everything we needed with a smile! She did a phenomenal job and I would recommend going here. With servers like Julia people want to come back. Thank you!

You go there for the coffee. Not much on their food menu. We all had bagel and an English Muffin. They were ok.
My friends loved their coffee.
Cute place with a lot of atmosphere and lots of quiet places if you want to chill out.
