A great place for lunch, happy hour, last call, whatever. I had the Habenero chicken wings which proved to be very spicy and very crispy. The blue cheese is thick and chunky, almost too thick and chunky, as it makes it difficult to dip your wings in there.
Good beer selection, but not overwhelmingly over the top. It's difficult to get lunch and a beer for less than $20, which seems expensive to me, but I am just that way.

A true local with friendly patrons and the best bartenders. Pool table, great juke box, good selection of tap beers. I haven't ever had the food but it looks good. What more could you want? The Shoe is a classic and staple of the Fairfield community.

Great local bar without any local attitude! Easy access from Southport train station as well. Great jukebox, pool table, and darts (bring your own as the ones there are a little thrashed) and great food. A neighborhood gem - like Martinis’s from “It’s a Wonderful Life”!

Photos don't do this place justice. Monday night they allow anyone to showcase their music talent for 15 mins and most these people can sing and play instruments very well. This is a relief from usual bar playing Pandora or other music apps. Nothing beats live music when it's good.

My favorite coffee place in town. The staff is marvelous and the coffee is even better. I love their selection of lattes, especially their orange mocha, which I've yet to see anywhere else. Nice place and refreshing feel.
