Vintage Grind

Value for money, cool staff. Am a creature of habit so usually order the same dishes...either the bacon and egg pie, lasagne or spinach and mushrooms with toast (occasionally all at the same sitting) and they always taste exquisite...not an over exaggeration. Have been coming to Vintage Grind for the last 2-3 years at least and will continue to do so...cheers : )

Wow it is so sad to see just how down hill this cafe has gone. The owners need to get their business together or just throw in the towel and find someone else who is actually willing to run a cafe. There are a lot of customers majority being elderly that spend their money here for cold coffee in takeaway cups, cabinet food that is old and stale, cakes and slices that were baked weeks ago, a full menu on display but not available because there is always “problems with the grill” so “take away only” How is this acceptable and how have they not been shut down. The owners have employed young staff which is cool, love that but honey give them a training day or two. You can’t throw fresh employees out to the wolves and then leave them alone expecting them to run a cafe for you, all they do is chat and giggle when they are left alone and occasionally serve customers if they feel like it. Don’t waste your money here go to tap a grind, muffin break or anywhere else.

Terrible service by young staff who could not care less. Tables not cleared and coffee cold after waiting 15 minutes. Noticed the lady owner left so the staff stood around giggling ignored customers. Owners please take your staff.in hand your business has gone down hill. Try employing older people with more interest in doing a good job.

We ordered 2 of the big breakfasts, other than the baked beans not being cooked properly the rest of the meal was great. the bacon was the best tasting bacon I've had in a long time, the sausages had so much flavor and the poached eggs were cooked perfectly. Very happy with my meal, and the customer service.

I only had a coffee but it was really good. I have just started drinking coffee and I find most Cafes are using strong rather bitter beans which is OK if the coffee is made well but on too many cases is not. However the coffee served at Vintage was medium and very easy to drink 👍 Sadly like so many places it was understaffed, one on the till the other making coffees, so service was slow. Unnecessary I think as there is no shortage of people needing jobs.
