We visit the garden centre tea room as often as we can. Each time we are greeted & looked after by the lovely staff. The girls work so hard & they always deliver the very best food from fish & chips to the fantastic afternoon tea. Would recommend it to anyone!
Fantastic afternoon tea with real tea leaf tea ,so good.
Parking was roomy .Bought a bird bath and plant selection has a good choice ,staff all friendly and helpful ,will be visiting again.
My favourite cafe, great food at good prices and they look after all dietary needs and have daily specials. The gift shop has some lovely items,I’ve also bought home and garden furniture there and the plants are top quality.

What’s great place. Just had my second visit in less then a week. Couldn’t ask for better food or customer service, the 2 lovely young ladies that work there are always amazing and makes a massive effect.
Went here to buy fish. Had a meal with my grand daughter who is 3. Chicken nuggets not on menu. BUT they cut some chicken up, battered and fried it with � chips. My goodness talk about the extra mile. 100% recommend this place. Service brilliant food brilliant!! Thanks guys for making a little girl happy. And grandad!!!
Visited today with my family, an early treat for my father, step father and father in law for Father’s Day. Had a lovely lunch, food was delicious and served promptly. When we went up for cake we were told a lady in the cafe had paid for a cake for each of us, 11 in total. We do not know who this lady is or why she chose to do such a lovely thing but if she is reading this or someone she was with reads this we would really like to thank her for the lovely gesture and we all appreciated it so much. What a wonderful kind thing to do for people you don’t know. Thank you so much �
Used a Groupon Afternoon Tea voucher and it was excellent value for money. Sandwiches (chicken salad, ham and cheese) were thick and fresh and came with lots of salad, scones were lovely and it came with four varieties of very tasty home made cakes. Surprisingly one of the best afternoon teas we’ve had in a long while.
3 visit so far to this lovely cafe, great atmosphere, great selection of delicious food and my goodness the cakes!
Had the most delicious afternoon tea for four people. Choice of sandwiches brilliant, cream scones so light and soft, then a wonderful selection of cakes. They are more than happy to pack up any leftovers. To finish gave us a £5 voucher too. Would definitely recommend. Even the miserable weather didn't dampen our spirits.

Unusual to have such a nice coffee shop in a garden centre.
I was surprised to see how big it is.
Fab choice of cakes and hot food, with generous quantities.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
There’s lots of seating outside too. With better weather it will defiantly be the place to go.
I will be going back again to try some more of the cakes.
25/8/23 Update.
We did go back and try the cakes.
The millionaires Rolo was disappointing. It has a dry shortbread base that just fell apart when cutting, a very thin layer of caramel but with a reasonable chocolate layer.
Teas and quiche for main course were very good. Toilet in the café a little tired.
It is a very popular place, being a nice day the seating outside was being used by a good number of customers.
The customer service was excellent.
10/9/23 Update.
This is our third visit, and on a very hot day. We sat outside as we had our dog.
There are outside toilets (as well as inside ones), and good doggie facilities. e.g. a doggie water station and bowls.
Dogs are not allowed inside.
The Tuna Salad, soup and the growler (Ham, cheese & egg cob) were good. Decafe tea's good and lovely staff.
The chocolate flapjack (No. 4) was dissapointing. Kept for too long in the case it was showing white speckles. Still edible we did eat it, but the dissapointment continued. Using cooking chocolate instead of 'traditional chocolate' was a mistake.
The garden centre cafe obviously has a high turnover of customers. However, because the quality of the cakes have been disappointing and the outside toilets (gents) floor is an absolute disgrace and needs replacing before someone falls over it, I have reduced my rating from a 5 start to a 4.
Nice garden centre with the usual plants and gifts on offer. They do a great selection of homemade cakes, flapbacks and brownies. Capachino £2.75 and cakes £2.95. Other more substantial meals also available. Definitely worth a visit.
End of the season and looking slightly tired. Decent selection of plants but in varying quality, some have obviously been sat around some time, week filled pots broken and dead branches etc. However the prices of the majority of plants seemed reasonable, certainly compared to "other" local sources. Staff friendly and helpful. Didn't use cafe. Will return.
Such a lovely garden centre, The staff are very friendly and professional, I am a complete novice and I didn't really understand what I was looking for. They gave me inspiration and guidance on what was needed.

Sunday DInner roast pork, fabulous. Home cooked style, quality ingredients, reasonable price, puts all other garden centres cafes to shame. If you are a cake lover, then the home made cake range is unbelievable
Consistently high standard of home made food on offer, great big choice of cakes. Friendly staff and a lovely homely feel to the cafe. Well worth a visit, super selection of plants and garden items. Reasonably priced.
