The Lord Nelson - Southwold - Photo album

I have been drinking here on holidays, first 1996. As an independent pub, they had a good line in pub grub. Now, as fully part of Adnams, it was pizza from black dog. Not my taste. The pub has a great atmosphere and I included a picture of me with pint on the road to show the view. The selection of
My partner and friend ate the pizza which I know is done by a separate company. She said it was top notch. We all enjoyed first class customer service and brilliant Adnams beer.
Really nice clean pub, friendly staff with a good choice of Adnams beer. Really worth a visit. We didn't eat, but the food looked amazing.
Great pub, we didn’t have food as the kitchen was closed the day we visited. Great staff. I have given 4 out of 5 stars because the beer was limited to the brewery, although they had 2 types of lager they were not to my husbands liking.
I would love this pub as my local. When it is quieter during the week and out of season, it is a great reminder of what pubs used to be like, people chatting to each other, dogs a sleep under tables and good ale. Only trouble is it's where everybody wants to be on a summers weekend evening. Hey ho c
Can be the busiest pub in Southwold, so you might not get in at peak times. The Nelly stopped doing food a couple of years ago, but now has a guest pizzeria serving Friday to Tuesday - pizzas look and smell fantastic. As usual, Adnams have great staff serving here and you'll find all their usual bee
Surprisingly busy on a cold winters weekend afternoon. Cosy and with a good range of beers. Nice walks a views nearby.
Lovely to be able to sit and drink at a pub which is not serving food. Plenty of room for drinkers! Of course an Adnams pub, this is Southwold! Five draft beers on site, all tasted excellent. I did have a Rye whiskey chaser. Very enjoyable. The pub has a front room, and a small snug on the side sea
In difficult times we were given a warm welcome in this lovely pub. Rammed on our visit on Saturday afternoon but managed to get a table. Guy behind bar very friendly. Good Ales, Adnams of course, excellent mulled wine as well. Well done.
Great place to relax with a pint. Outside benches that face the sea out front are perfect for relaxing with a good beer. About 10-12 beers/ales to choose from on tap, including the best Adnams brands as well. 1 pint will cost about 4 pounds, so look for the specials.
Great Southwold pub, busy with lots of atmosphere and a big beer garden courtyard at the back. It's so popular and very busy at times and therefore hard to find a seat. Food provided by the Black Dog Pizza Co., is pizzas (obvs).
Fantastic little old pub. Cosy seating and outdoor area too, brilliant friendly staff. Amazing pizza from black dog pizza too. Deserves 5 stars
What a lovely pub. We went in the evening and sat inside, this is a good ole english pub like they use to be. Plenty of seating inside and out in the garden at the rear of the building. The staff were polite and welcoming. Plenty of Adnams drinks to choose from.
Fantastic pub, welcoming staff and a great atmosphere with nice beers, ales and cider on tap. Not tried the food yet.
We only popped into for a quick pint me & my husband, there wasn't any food served @ this pub I only heard that when a customer walked in & asked for their drinks & then asked for the food menu , its just a little public house near the seafront, we enjoyed our drinks very much .
A little day trip in southwold and we stumbled across this great pub.. Very welcoming atmosphere which is always nice. Staff are really helpful and easy to talk too .. The food is slightly pricey but you definitely get a quality bit of posh pub grub. On site herb and chill garden in which they use w
Really nice pub with a good selection of real ales.
Interesting pub, a lot of seafaring memorabilia, good choice of Adams Ale's. Great little place. Would visit again.
