We had between us cod n chips, fish pie and venison burger. All were well cooked and presented. Yes, they tasted nice as well. Staff friendly and helpful. Upstairs dining room comfortable, light and we'll equipped. A very nice meal and experience.
Best pub in Southwold by a million miles. If your eating there make sure you have a long walk beforehand as the portions are massive. FANTASTIC food, beer, staff and proper pub with huge character. Cannot praise it high enough.
Great pub located a short walk from Soutwold. Beers very well kept and served, with good selection of Adnams ales.
Of course, it goes without saying food prices have gone up, but the quality is still top notch too, so retrospectively, it was OK by us to spend what we did for the food we had.
Beautiful location with fine ales and the chance to walk off fish and chips with a walk along the coastal path, would do it every day if possible.
Great food and beer was really well kept. Went in with the family, and all six of us had a meal. Food was served very quickly, and all was of good quality, no complaints at all. The only downside was the number of dogs allowed in the place not great when you're sitting eating with dogs everywhere.
A great find, great food friendly staff and great views.
Went twice to eat as food was so good
Have visited many times in the past. Didn't eat today but enjoyed a pint in the bar, great atmosphere. Food prices seemed a bit higher than I remember.
The weather had cooled from sone of the hottest days in August. We needed a good lunch following a terrific walk in not too far away Dunwich Forest. It was bar service. Good range of food. I went for the basil pesto fungi linguine.... generous potion and tasty. Also nice was Coke Zero on tap. Would definitely recommend.
My husband had The seafood platter was amazing and although it was expensive it was value for money, I had the cod and chips this also was lovely and the fish was fresh with large flakes of white fish, would I visit again 100% I would
Good food, great folk tunes and tunes night and of course wonderful Adnams beer.
And the pub is in a fascinating boaty setting I've known since I was a child.
Great pub at Southwold Harbour. Sat on the downstairs longe bar and had a very good lunch. Has outdoor space at the front and back with both having great views. A very dog friendly pub too!
Parking was busy, but we found space near the Inn for three vehicles.
Lots of areas to sit either inside or outside.
As it was windy and we had little'uns we chose inside. Upstairs, we were allowed to move tables to suit all nine of us sitting together. Plus, dogs are allowed. We had three, two are big!
The food was a bit slow to order as only one girl taking the orders. But it arrived quickly with generous size portions and tasty. A few options other than fish available, such as curry, pulled pork burger, risotto, and sandwiches.
There was a lack of menus, and we had to search. Basic decor but perfect for our requirements.
We received a friendly welcome on arrival, and great to have availability as we hadn't booked!
Lovely view from garden across to Southwold. Relaxed atmosphere. Good food and characterful building at the landward end of the harbour. Dog friendly.
