The Red Lion - Southwold - Photo album

We hadn't booked but the young red head lady found us a table for the 4 of us. This was a friday evening so it was quite busy. The service was perfect and so was the food. I would definitely recommend this pub for a nice evening meal.
Great evening meal tonight during our holiday in Southwold. Actually eaten here before (3rd time!) Staff really friendly and attentive, food lovely, good choice and generous portion size. Had pudding as well this time, very nice. Keep up the good work all at The Red Lion. I'm sure we'll be back
Pleasant service. Good selection of food on offer, with an ever-changing specials board. The waiting staff were very pleasant.
The food was absolutely lovely. Ordered ham, egg & chips, smoked haddick and mozzarella fish cakes & chips, southern fried chicken & chips and a side of onion rings which were huge. The portions are very large. The waitresses were very friendly. The service was excellent. Would definitely recommend
Larger of the Adnams pubs in Southwold with friendly staff and food. The usual range of beers and ciders and all at tge same prices across all pubs (Sole Bay Inn and Lord Nelson). Good outside space and food served outside too.
Really pleased to be able to get a table for 3. The pub was busy with some large bookings but the staff still had plenty of time to look after everyone. No problem bringing our dog in. We ordered 2 thai green curries and 1 fish and chips, we wanted to swop the peas for coleslaw and this wasn't a pro
Called in for a drink on a Sunday afternoon. Was busy with food orders. We only wanted a drunk and only 1 person behind bar from what I could see so took a while. The southwold stout though is definitely to be recommended.
The Red Lion continues to be one of our 'best places to eat' in Southwold. We turned up one weekday evening without a booking and easily found a table. The food is sensibly priced with good portions and the service was friendly and attentive. Good range of basic pub food and a nice ambience. Well
Stopped here on a Friday night for something to eat. Food was good as was service. Was very busy at the bar, a bit quieter in the restaurant!
Lovely location and lovely food. Walking distance to beach and shops.
