Lovely friendly staff, delicious food, and quirky interiors. Can’t wait for my next trip! I took my family to Dylan’s following some fab reviews I’ve seen online, and rave reviews I’d heard from friends and colleagues. Upon arriving, I’ll be honest, my expectations were high… but let me tell you, Dylan’s *absolutely* lived up to them all! We went for lunch and decided to opt for the lunch menu as we loved what was on offer there — and it’s fantastic value! I opted for the salt cod and salmon fishcake for my starter, and the corn-fed chicken breast with Caesar salad dressing for main, and had a side of ham and Parmesan croquettes (one of the specials of the day). Each dish was superb. I look forward to coming back to taste the main menu and sample some of the many craft beers on offer.

Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff n service is great. On top of that love the craft beer choices, wine & food all extra cool. Going to become my fav place in St Albans for drinks.

Quaint pub and restaurant with window seats, bar seats, a regular table in the bar area and a separate dining area. Hops hang overhead. I shared a beer with Mummy Debra sitting on the bar whilst Mummy sat in a tall barstool, overlooked by a deceased bodiless ram. Or perhaps his body was in the other side of the wall! It was a quiet midweek afternoon after the lunch rush and before dinner rush. Part of the time we were the only customers. Despite this we were only interacted with by the young woman bar tender when Mummy initiated interaction. Then she was friendly.

The best roast in St. Albans we've had. The food was delicious and the service was great. One of the waitresses seemed a little annoyed but I'm not sure why. Would definitely recommend it to everyone. Everything we had was incredible. We shared 3 starters and each had a roast. The cauliflower cheese and the crunchy roasties were the highlights 👌🏻

I have visited twice now. The first time for drinks and a scotch egg. The second time for the Christmas menu. The service is incredibly friendly and fast. The beer selection is really good too. Lots of beers that you won't find elsewhere. The food is incredible. Everything I've tried here has been perfectly balanced. It's some of the best food you can get in St Albans. I will be back!

One of the best gastropub experiences I had in a long while. Most delicious food, great wine, great service and delightful setting. Must go back during Christmas season to taste the rest of the menu and have a drink at the bar overlooking the street.

Top notch roast dinner, all the elements well cooked and presented. The gravy could be bumped up to more unctious levels. friendly and attentive service. Lighting choice could up the atmosphere to 5. Definitely going back for more roast.

Lovely food, cozy atmosphere. I’ve been there with my girlfriend for dinner, we ordered 2 starters, 2 mains, bread and a dessert to share The scotch egg was perfectly cooked and it was full of flavour. Burrata was also surprisingly good, I really liked the balance between the chestnut, the mandarin and the seasoning. The mains were also amazing - the onglet was delicious as well as the ox cheek. Also the bread was a delight - the smell was great, the taste was even better.

A very nice spontaneous lunch at Dylans. We had various friends mention the food was fantastic and we were not let down. Scotch egg and sourdough for starter, the best scotch egg I have ever had, then fish and chips for two. The fish was amazing. A fantastic meal. We will be returning for a Sunday roast as this is supposed to be the best is St Albans.
