The Wicked Lady - St. Albans - Photo album

Great family meal at the Wicked Lady. We wanted somewhere local to Nomansland Common as we were doing part of our Walk 245: Nomansland South Loop which starts and finishes close to the pub/restaurant. The atmosphere was welcoming and friendly, we had a lovely table in a quiet spot behind a fireplace
Food was great overall. Starter of Padron peppers wasn’t quite what I was expecting but pretty tasty nonetheless. I prefer keeping them simple with rock salt over the sweet sauce that these were smothered in. Burger looked a little dry when it came out yet was surprisingly moist and tasted on point.
Visited on a Sunday evening. It was very quiet, but that was great for us as it meant Roast Dinner was still available. Good food and good portion sizes.
Had a great dinner for 2 last night. Perfect venue for a hot summer night when they can open the doors and space people out around the grounds and in the conservatory. Good selection of meals and deserts. Not for everyone, but we walked there from Marshallswick, as there are paths over Jersey Farm H
An excellent family lunch at The Wicked Lady. The food and service was excellent and the pub was extremely busy. Great portion sizes too! We were really well looked after. A special mention is deserved for our waitress Ella, who was so friendly and helpful, making sure we had an enjoyable time. We w
Lovely food, great staff. Went there for Easter Sunday roast. Definitely book in advance, they're popular. Be we were very lucky to get a table on the day. Good veggie options. I had the vegan fig and nut roast. £20-£30 per person.
Large menu, friendly service in an old, but refurbished roadside pub near Wheathamp stead. Very nice interior, annexe and garden. Don’t expect cheap prices, but the food is excellent!
Amazing Sunday lunch not a 5 star due to service but that was not a huge issue. I had a roast trio with all the trimmings which was amazing. My wife had pork belly and she was very very happy. The final photo is cheese cake (mini) my wife had for dessert. Note on the service: it was a young lad wh
As ever, the team at The Wicked Lady were really friendly and the food, a Trio of roasts with stuffing/pigs in blankets (followed by the mini crumble & coffee) and the Buttermilk Chicken 🍔 were also amazing (pic for proof below!) would happily rebook on my next visit down south.
Had a lovely lunch here ☺️ thank you to Ella & Noah for great service and drinks, and Anca & Toto for the delicious food 😋
