Really amazing cod and chips. Fabulous piece of cod. Great big flakes perfectly cooked to that point where it’s almost undercooked so that it doesn’t get dried out. Nice crispy batter, lovely fat chips and the right kind of vinegar.
I’ll definitely be coming here again !
Always very busy but worth the wait. I order a child's fish n chips because its a generous serve! Tasty.

The food is phenomenal, the chips are the best ive ever had, the kebab is always cooked to the perfect level, never dried out and never too floppy. We had to try a couple different places recently because of travel, and i couldn't even finish it, Markyate fish bar has ruined other fish and chip restaurants as they are too good. The staff are always friendly and professional.
I see some comments about the price on here, but what you pay for is quality, and thats why we keep going back.
So why not 5 stars? Cost. It's a great little chip shop with consistently good food. Prices are competitive but everywhere has put prices up. I just hope that places like this don't price themselves out of the market.
Lovely fish and chips really fresh, piping hot and so tasty. Lovely staff very friendly and really reasonably priced will definitely use these guys again it was worth the travel
