My staff and I love this sandwich bar! Steve and Sarah provide the best coffee, daily specials and the biggest choice of fillings I have ever found before. They make great recommendations for those days when we are indecisive and always take the time to get to know the name of everyone of their customers and our various likes and dislikes. Just really lovely, fun people that deserve our support as a local private business. Highly recommend
Food is great, reasonably priced and always fresh. Great variety too. The daily specials have that "home cooked" taste and Steve and Sarah are just lovely people. Always friendly and have a smile on their face ! I often pre order my food being next door and pitch up and its always ready without fail and warm. Couldn't ask for more.
Steve and Sarah at Peppercorn always provide friendly, professional and quick service. They have a wide selection of sandwiches, wraps, hot and cold drinks and snacks, plus lots of veggie options, at great prices. I've never been disappointed by the food or service, Steve and Sarah even know their regular customer's names which always makes me smile. Would highly recommend to all!
Best value for money in the whole of St. Albans! Sarah and Steve go out of their way to please each of their customers, offering huge portions and fast service. You always get a warm welcome and we recommend them to everyone! Everything is fresh and they have a great variety of rotating hot specials too :)
I love treating myself to lunch at Peppercorn, Steve and Sarah are extremely friendly and even know their customers by name. The food is always prepared fresh, they have good vegetarian options and a variety of hot and cold drinks. I would recommend Peppercorn to everyone, it's a wonderful cafe!
We were walking round St Albans and wanted a stop for lunch. Found this little gem of a cafe/Sandwich bar. Huge selection of salads, jacket potatoes, wraps, baguettes etc. We both opted for a brie, bacon and cranberry panini which was delicious. Lots of lovely filling and panini was sesame seeded which was lovely. Little seating area out front was perfect for our lunch spot. Coffee was good too. Would highly recommend.
I use these guys via Deliveroo and the food always arrives fast, fresh and well presented. Big bonus that they use paper bags and packaging too!
I recommend the Jamaican Jerk Chicken Wrap. Tastes delicious and whoever is putting the spice in there is a mad man! It kicks like a horse!
Decent prices and amazing food!
My colleagues and I often go here for lunch an it is honestly faultless. Sarah and Steve know their customers by name and know their orders before they walk through the door! The food is freshly prepared and the portion sizes are extremely reasonable. I have had their katsu curry special, a few different paninis and a jacket potato - all are absolutely amazing (and a great price too)! Can't wait to go again tomorrow:)
Great choice of sandwiches, wraps, paninis, samosas, ideal if you're looking to grab something really tasty on the go. You can build your own sandwiches with the ingredients on offer and price wise it wont break the bank.
Staff in there are really friendly and helpful.
Have been eating at Peppercorn since starting work in St Albans last year and they have never failed to make me love lunch, always so kind and courteous. They have the greatest range of sandwiches, wraps, fillings etc. Definitely drop in if your passing.
