Town Hall Cafe - St. Albans - Photo album

The café itself was really nice. However, the prices of food are quite expensive for what you get. I wouldn't recommend the Key Lime Cake as it didn't taste that good. The sandwich was good, and so was the coffee. Staff were very friendly and service was quick.
Been here several times for coffee and cake. We really like the environment which is the old court which has been nicely restored. The whole venue is worth visiting. Lots of exhibitions - three at the moment one of which is the history of Tea. Surprisingly interesting and very well curated. It is a
Lovely eating area, but bear in mind you need to your order from the counter to the cafe. Good value and tea is very good but the cakes are of variable quality.
A nice location and a decent place to have a break. The cafe seating are located in the old crown court converted to a restaurant but all the original seating have been left untouched with some added extra furniture. The staffs are polite and helpful but the empty pots are not cleared and trays are
Lovely place to study and enjoy hot drink. Such a peaceful atmosphere. Staff (baristas) looks angry. They should be more friendly. Gave 4-star instead of 5 for this reason
Good is lovely and freshly made. They forgot to add my cream to the scones I ordered and I couldn't be bothered go back and ask for it. The scones were very nice with butter and strawberry jam.
Despite being born and bred in St. Albans, this was my first visit to the 'Courtroom Cafe'. What a surreal experience, I took pictures of my wire in the 'dock'. Enjoyed the food and drink and stayed up the atmosphere. Slight wait to be served. However, the while trip was worthwhile! A must visit (at
What a quirky place. Loved it there. You get to sit in the old courtroom to have your drinks. Lots of photo opportunities in the dock.. the cells are there for you to go down and see, some are now toilets or little rooms with info on. Great fun. Coffee was good. Cakes were a bit limited. Would have
Interesting and thoughtful experience for implementation of law over the centuries.
A little limited with food but a selection to choose from, I liked the coffee, and the old courtroom is interesting to eat in.
An unusual setting in the Victorian courtroom of the Old Town Hall. A surprisingly pleasant venue despite there being no windows!
Good selection of food n drink n can sit outside or in the old courtroom to have ur food n drink after
Delicious food and coffee great place to get off your tired feet....
Guilty, guilty, guilty... of great service and great food in a unique (as far as I know) setting. You'll need to sort out which of your family gets to sit in the Judge's chair and which in the dock!
Great place and quiet with good variety of food and drinks.
Love having coffee or a light snack here, it's such an atmospheric place to sit. Visitors love it too. Nice coffee and cakes too.
Unique place for coffee and cakes in historic St Albans.
An unusual place to stop for coffee etc good food and drinks selection.
