Lovely afternoon tea today. Sandwiches were fresh. Cakes were all delicious and scones were nice and warm too! Everything from the sandwich fillings to each cake was explained to us and they also brought out a lovely slate with some added extras for my friends birthday!
Only thing was the water in the tea could be slightly hotter!
Definitely be back again!

Highly recommend. Wonderful experience and wonderful views of the Old Course. Kind and attentive staff, yummy food and drink.

This was a splendid afternoon tea. The views across the Old Course were matched by the delicious food and the faultless, friendly service which we received the moment we walked into the hotel.
To the tea itself: we started with finger sandwiches (egg and cress, smoked salmon, hummus and chicken and mayonnaise) followed by scones with clotted cream and jam and finished with a selection of patisserie. It was all delightful, particularly the scones! We also enjoyed the accompanying tea and each had a glass of champagne.
This was a birthday treat for my mother and she thoroughly enjoyed herself. We will return.

The service was wonderful here, quick and efficient, especially since I only had an hour to spare with a University visit afterwards. The servers are kind and well spoken, and the view is beautiful, as well, seeing the golf course meet with the town and sea.
My mother and I came here for afternoon tea and were surprised by the negative reviews, as the scones and clotted cream were fluffy and delicious. The sandwiches were flavourful and the bread was good (I don’t understand how people were so harsh in reviewing it as stale). The little desserts were beautifully adorned, balanced in sweetness and ultimately delicious.
I strongly recommend coming here. It remains classical and traditional within a very familial and welcoming atmosphere.

Birthday afternoon tea for our Mother. We were worried after reading some of the recent reviews but now wonder if the poor reviews refer to another hotel (or planet!). Excellent service from Caitlin and the sandwiches, cakes and scones were all of the highest standard and freshly made. Tea was loose leaf and a great choice. We had two dietary requests and these were met providing evidence of just how fresh the sandwiches were.
Staff in the foyer could not have been more welcoming.
We would thoroughly recommended this beautiful hotel's afternoon tea.
