Bon Viveur Restaurant

Fantastic! Really lovely to see they have kept some Bon Viv classics on the menu but are adding their own exciting new dishes too, keeps everyone happy! I had the calamari and skinny fries I always love, but also tried some of the delicious ravioli and lobster linguini. Tasty well priced cocktails and wine too. Service is very good indeed too. We will certainly be back!

Now called Serrano."Come at 6.30 as we're full at 7.00" - absolutely untrue! Carpaccio nice, but with string in it, if you like that sort of thing, Calamari soggy and rubbery, osso bucco underwhelming, cold, small and not falling off the bone as cooked hard, side veg stone cold, had to be reheated, cannelloni not a patch on the old Bon Viveur, not even worthy of an aldi microwave meal which sells for 3.80. Wrong cutlery and shabby service, no apology. Didn't risk either a dessert or a tip, waste of time going out. Don't think we will go back. We live in hard times, this is not good for Jersey locals. Unimpressed.

If you want to stay in an Italian Fawlty Towers!!! This will be right up your street!!!! From arriving at Bon Viveur and being shown the board with the numbers on to phone to check in, One went to answer phone and the other woke up a member of staff who took almost half an hour to open the door!!! So whilst we waited we asked a staff member outside who was setting up the tables, and was barked at to phone the number on the board as it was nothing to do with him!!!! And he turned out to be serving up breakfast in the morning!!! The rooms and all the place needed a major makeover!!!!! And breakfast was very low standard!!!! Look out for the mouldy toast served up with little or no apology!!! The argument in the kitchen was priceless!!!!
