Such friendly staff. Nothing too much trouble. Whether you just want a drink or fancy a filling breakfast, tasty lunch or a fab cream tea, great place to come, with option to work it off with a walk. Always come here when on holiday in cornwall

Excellent cafe, lovely staff and great food. I call in every year after doing the camel trail whilst on holiday. I must say the gluten free brownie was out of this world!!!!

Best place for stoking up on carbs before slogging up to the top of the world (Bodmin Moor) on a crisp autumn day... Or any other day, for that matter

I was delighted to find the Snail's pace cafe on my bike ride around Bodmin Moor. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the selection of homemade cakes was mouthwatering I had a large coffee and a large slice of coffee and walnut cake which filled me up for my onward journey I can't recommend this cafe highly enough for anyone riding in the area or on the Camel Trail

Came for breakfast after a recommendation - and very glad we did. Delicious, perfectly cooked breakfast sandwiches on proper fresh doorstep bread and really good coffee too. Hope to come back when we're next in the area!

This is such a special cafe and really cool hangout. The cakes are deeelishious, coffee is always made with a smile, and the breakfasts are awsome. The owners, Nick and Linzi obviously love what they do, the staff are fun and polite, and the location is perfect. Keep up the great work, we will be back!

Very, very tasty breakfast whether meat or vegan, nice quiet location. Really good pot of tea too. Friendly, welcoming staff. There was plenty on our plates and everything was really well cooked and very tasty. Definitely worth a detour if you're in a car, and surely mandatory stop if you are cycling by on the Camel trail.

Little cafe on Camel Valley cycle trail. Simple meals and snacks. Prides itself in being "off grid" with solar power and (smelly) composting toilet.

A lovely find! Welcoming staff and dog friendly. Stopped for a coffee break this morning and was tempted by the baked goods on offer. We had the cheese scones with butter as a treat, the best choice! By far the best scones we have had in a very long time. Highly recommend a visit if you are passing!

Happened upon this cafe completely by chance in the closing stages of my JOGLE. It had been raining all day so I didn’t hesitate to pop in for a hot drink and a snack. Was spoiled for choice in the cake selection but decided on my first cream tea as I had reached Cornwall. Service was quick and the scone was delicious, mountains of jam and cream. Due to the rain I had the place to myself but was entertained by the owners superb eighties playlist 😄

I love this place! The perfect stop at the start, end or middle of a bike ride. Great food (soup is very good), great coffee and cakes in an interesting, off grid setup with inside or outside tables. Service is always friendly and as prompt as I'd want freshly prepared food to be. Always a highlight of the Camel Trail!

We had a wonderful day cycling along the Camel Trail. The Snail’s Pace cafe is perfectly positioned at the start of the route. We hired bikes from Nick who was really helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The bikes were great, really comfy saddles and very well maintained and good value. We were supplied with helmets and a lock big enough for all of our bikes. The trail was beautiful and perfect for all ages with lovely spots along the way to stop. Thank you Nick, it was a day to remember!

Love cream teas? Then this is a must visit! We had something of a cream tea tour over two weeks in Cornwall and visited all the places the guidebooks recommend... We thought we'd discovered the best cream tea (in Tintangel), but Snail's Pace cafe beats them all! We also popped back for other delicious items on their menu including the vegetarian breakfast - probably the best savoury item we are whilst in Cornwall (other than Hake and chips in Padstow). Staff were lovely too and can make changes to most dishes if required (they added some bacon to my Vege breakfast at my request). 😍 this place!

Super helpful and great bike hire from Snails Pace. Fabulous journey down the trail and left the bikes At Padstow for pick up. Bikes were excellent and can’t recommend this highly enough. Looking forward to next year already!

Absolutely gorgeous food, the goats cheese and red pepper burgers were DIVINE! The bread was nice and soft, peppers were juicy and they didn’t skimp on the cheese. As a side note: the side salad was good too, far better than the plain leafy stuff you get at most other places. 10/10 would visit again :D

Always love visiting here, food is always top notch. I love that they are an eco cafe and a lot of their food is either vegan or vegetarian however I found the decaf tea a little lacking for the price and had to request an extra tea bag. Have to give them their due tho. it was instantly provided and my cup of tea was restored

Quiet September stroll from the Borough Arms on the Camel trail, with this lovely Cafe, as a welcome reward, before the return journey. Roughly 10 mile round trip, so the calories were earned and burnt off!

What a perfect end to half term. 15 miles from Snail Pace Bike Hire to the Camel Trail Tea Garden and back. The bikes were great and Nick was incredibly welcoming and helpful, such a top guy! The cafe is a nice pit-stop, we would have carried on to Padstow but the boys wanted to mess around by the river. Brilliant day and thanks again to Nick 👍🤙

Tasty breakfast roll, in pleasant surroundings at a solar powered off-grid café. They cater for us meat eaters as well as the veggie folk. Loved it.
