Review Le Hocq Inn - St. Clement

Stopped off here for a drink whilst exploring the island. Lovely pub by the sea and the staff were really nice and friendly. There's a free car park pretty much next to it which is perfect for a stopover.

We had the most wonderful evening here a couple of weeks ago to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Such a warm welcome from the fairly new management team, nothing was too much trouble. Food was great, lovely spacious restaurant and cozy bar area. Would highly recommend and will definitely return!

We’d like to thank Christian and Maria and the whole team at Le Hocq (especially Thomas) following our joint birthday celebration in the function room last night. The buffet was amazing and nothing was too much trouble. The space is fantastic and we were free to decorate it as we wished. Everyone really enjoyed the evening and we would highly recommend. It’s great to have a new, friendly and welcoming manager and staff. Thank you

Visited with family and friends over the bank holiday weekend. Food was lovely and fresh. Waitress didn't write our order down and forgot a side order, this was rectified shortly after the mains arrived. Would visit and recommend to anyone visiting the island

Tried hard to fit us in due to a system booking error but they kindly called ahead to warn us and we got there just in time. Lovely outside area to admire the view. Thank you

Lovely pub. Does have an extensive food menu but we just came for drinks and sat outside.

We had a function in the room upstairs, it was lovely with a nice view. Lots of food and a little bar in the corner

Le Hocq did very well to produce Sunday roasts without gas.However the veggie option was rather bland.

Lovely food I had the smoked mackerel bruschetta and bavette steak both really good. Nice beach opposite.

Food was fantastic and table service was ok. Overall, a very good relaxing experience.

Went for dinner and music bingo. There was an issue with my husband's meal, the server and pressed the wrong button so ordered the wrong dish, but they immediately re-ordered and they did not charge for that meal, he also got a free dessert! The food was delicious with some great specials which is always welcome. Great atmosphere with fun and friendly staff.

A bit of a disappointing evening, not what I’m used to experiencing from Le Hocq; arrived at 7.30pm for dinner and told we’d have a half an hour wait, fair enough it was busy and we hadn’t booked. Eventually at 9.10pm our chicken espetadas arrived without their sides and sat on the table for about 10 minutes before the waiter came and said there’d be another 10 minute wait for our sides so he’d take them back and keep them warm. We said we’d rather he didn’t as they’d be dry but he said, ‘Um I’m just going to take them.’ and walked off with them! 10-15 minutes later food was brought back and sure enough chicken was over cooked and very dry - lovely flavour though. We told the waitress (who was lovely) at the end of our meal, she said she’d tell the manager but we never heard anything after that so we paid our bill and left. Not sure we’ll be rushing back.
