Excellent pub food, one of the best steak & ale pies I've ever had. Lovely pub, really old traditional feel. Nice starters and deserts and some good offers on too.
Excellent all round. This was my 3rd visit and I can honestly say it is fantastic. The food is exceptional as is the service. Excellent ales also. Very welcoming staff and child friendly. I would recommend the wheatsheaf to anyone
Oh my lord! What a place! I.poppednin with my family for a quick lunch and a drink before going to family events. I left there a changed man! We ordered lunch for 3, there was enough food to feed at least 6!! The liver and bacon was one of the best I have ever tasted! Came as whole livers, rather th
Best pub grub I have had in a long time , this little quirky pub delivers the best food , at first it does feel weird walking in as it’s a little bit uneven but that’s because it’s not been modernised since World War One !! Go to the bar side to and have a look at the vintage wall of football and r

Excellent customer service from the staff who served our party. Despite it being a busy Saturday late afternoon/evening, all our meals were brought out together, the food was fresh, hot and delicious. Definitely recommend. Great value too.
Visited last week for a meal with my family. The food cooked by Michelle was delicious and our server Nathan was very friendly and attentive😊my favourite pub in the area! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for high quality traditional (but modern and tasty) home cooked food. Looking forward to

Visited last week, food was outstanding and we received friendly and efficient service! Really enjoyed our meal and will be looking forward to our next visit😊
Fantastic pub with top quality, home cooked meals. The prices are similar, if not cheaper, than franchise pubs but the quality is so much better. There is a good variety of options on the menu, and the deserts are incredible. Could not recommend here enough
Really enjoyable. Good burger and very accommodating staff. excellent.
Impressed with my tea, looked lovely. Sharing Platter to start, really nice, Roast dinner was lovely. Staff friendly, but a bit slow, and all different people. No dessert menu, when I asked, she said she would come over and read it to me? Bizarre! Trying to pay was a bit of a mission, 10 mins for th
