St. Helens used to be famous for glass and coal. Now it's Saints, and Burchalls pies... simply the best!

Having read about the quality of the pork pies I made a bit of a detour whilst over from North Wales. We were not disappointed....the best pork pies we have ever tasted. Real quality, the meat was succulent, the jelly just right ... correctly seasoned and the pastry... was beautifully thin and crisp and light....not stodgy. The price is right you get what you pay for ... quality. As for the owner and staff as friendly greeting as you would wish for..I rang the owner to compliment him...we will return...the only negative....it's not on my doorstep otherwise

Great Pork pies especially hot or warm. Taste amazing great quality ingredients. People reviewing say expensive I say you can't make a silk purse out of a sou's ear. Pardon the terrible pun 🤣

All sausage are made on site and all meats and cooked meats are all lovley and fresh.

A small shop which is well renowned for its excellent pork pies. Generally there is a queue for these but today I was fortunate with only 1 person waiting. If in St Helens well worth it.
