Not a bad venue at all, I liked it in all the times that I've been in. Will be making a visit on a Saturday for karaoke and see how it measures up... Nice establishment.

Recently been done up and had a beer garden done. Nice little stop off from a walk in sankey valley. Friendly staff and great selection of drinks.

Went walking with my dog today nearby we park at this pub and decided to try it's roast dinner and see how dog friendly it is.. well made up with all... and staff and customers making a fuss of him

Came to the Ship Inn to watch the Grand Final. Found it to be surprisingly quiet. But the staff were fantastic, drinks where a great price and served quickly. Whole place was spotless aswell which is rare for a pub. I'll defo go back again.

A lovely little pub. We had a walk at Sankey valley just around the back and forgot we'd not eaten lunch half way around so decided to pop in for some grub.
Was totally empty, the barmaid was very friendly and the food was great! Would definitely visit again!

I enjoyed my visit to The Ship Inn when I called in to have a few pints of Guinness with my fellow St Helens group Ramblers after we ended our walk of the Sankey Valley and surrounding areas. All the staff were very friendly and their service was very good too. I also liked having my drinks outside in the spacious seating area, and I also found that the gents toilets were very clean and tidy when I needed it. I will definitely call in again when I am next in the area, and I will certainly try eating some food when I go as I noticed that the people whom had ordered from the good selection from the menu seemed to be enjoying what they were served. :)
