Went for the quiz with friends on a Tuesday night, great atmosphere with a big selection of real ales and a lovely wine menu and friendlybar staff. Toilets are top-notch.

Nice recently renovated traditional pub. Breath selection of real ales and great prices for pensioners in the afternoon. Very friendly staff.

An excellent choice of real ales and very reasonably priced. The Barmaid who was working lunchtime on Thursday 27 July is an asset to the pub. Very helpful and friendly.

Used to be a decent boozer with a bit of atmos then the bag head centre opened over the road and it turned into a junkies hang out. It shut down then and opened up with a friendly couple and they even started doing food, then it changed hands again but I’ve only been in once. Still a decent pint and it’ll always be my second favourite pub in St. Helens after the cricketers.

Very nice bar, looks sooo much better than it did before. The atmosphere is good and it was quite busy, but not too packed. The Guinness was the best we had all night!!! 😃
Staff are really friendly and pleasant.
Will definitely go in again next time we are out!
