The Rum & Crab Shack

Always wanted to eat here and finally had the chance this year. A very quirky fun place, if your lucky you can get a seat near the window with a great view of the harbour. We did walk in and the wait was advised it would be an hour but we ended up waiting about 40 minutes. It was certainly worth the wait as the food was amazing!! A great selection of drinks and cocktails which were very tasty. We had the crispy squid to start and the seafood chowder which was delicious! Also the crab mac and cheese was 10/10. The staff were very friendly. All in all a great meal and experience!

Personally I liked the mussels my patient had the ribs he said it was alright. I didn’t really like the stew it only comes like this and it was too salty for me I couldn’t finish it. No take away available was very disappointing as I could have taken it home, so that there is no waste now I paid for a dish where I just had two bites of. The mocktails were good

Whether it's a special occasion or simply a desire for a memorable dining escapade, this establishment truly delivers on both its cuisine and its panoramic setting. They do not take booking walk in only. I would suggest getting there early and have a few drinks at the bar.

This place is absolutely amazing! The food is incredibly delicious, and our online research truly paid off when we experienced it in person. The only drawback was one particular waiter who seemed a bit unwilling to assist us, though ironically, they were the only one taking orders. Despite this, the other staff were exceptionally friendly and went above and beyond to make our visit memorable.

Honestly, one of the best meals I've ever had! Well worth the wait (told 40 mins but seated in about 25 and we had a drink while we waited). The menu was excellent and had lots of interesting options. I had the fish tacos and the jambalaya - WOW the flavours! The staff were working tirelessly but still had time to smile and make conversation which was great. Definitely 5 stars!

I researched this place before coming on holiday and I was so excited about it. Boy, it did not disappoint at all. Great atmosphere, great music, service was spot on, drinks (tempted to go for another round) just as I was hoping for, and the food was delicious!! The lobster was worth every penny😁 Would highly recommend to anyone visiting St Ives to pop in for dinner and drinks!

Great little hidden gem above the shop! Great fresh steam whole crab and some stout to go along with it. Absolutely amazing fresh and juicy brown crab and other assortment of seafood . As a bonus this place come with a great view too! Please beaware that dinner service is at 5 o’clock! Please give this a thumb up if this guide help you out, would be appreciated ❤️👌

The best fish and chips ever! Meat was juicy and the batter was crispy without being too oily. P.s it is served with fries, not the usually chippy chips but was delicious regardless. Also got the mussels and white bait starters which were delicious- really fresh and great value for money as the portions were good. Relaxed atmosphere and cute decor/interior. Would highly recommend.
