A very friendly olde-worlde pub with lots of quirky ornaments. We noticed on our last visit (July 2021) that the pub was up for sale and the barmaid told us the landlord was leaving in October, so we hope it gets new owners and is not converted into residential.
Great staff. V friendly. 1 roast dinner. Really good. 1 mushroom risotto. V tasty. Will definitely be back, although would be nice to have a vegan option in the menu... maybe next time
Querky little establishment. Very historical building large car park. Separate dining room and bar area. Enjoyed a reasonable evening meal with friends. Fish pie was excellent, steak and kidney pudding tasty but amount of steak was not generous. The patron was very helpful and polite and seemed to b
Roaring fire, good food, great cask beer and a quiz on the night I dropped in (a Wednesday). Locals very friendly and asked me to join a team. Great fun, and only downside was we didn't win. Good evening though.
Great pub and the owner is lovely and good to talk to. I love sitting next to the fire and looking at the antiques that are for sale!
