Review The Bull Inn - St Paul's Cray

Decent village sort of pub, 5 different largers available. Bit of a Local pub for local people but don't let that put you off. Homemade cooked meals available. Reasonable alcohol prices. Staff polite, professional and attentive

Thank you to the lady who made our visit very welcoming today! She made the whole experience top notch and interacted with my children in a warm way. Nothing was a problem and seemed genuinely caring. Classic pub interior, and was very cosy. The food was great and very enjoyable all-round, and a degree of flexibility with accompaniments too! Definitely a locals pub but not one where you seemed out of place. Friendly, cosy atmosphere, and fully inclusive. Good drinks choices. We will return some time, despite not living locally! Perhaps in the summer when we can get use of the beer garden which equally looks cosy! Again, thank you for your hospitality! Cheers!

Wonderful little hidden gem in Orpington, Kent. Small but tasty menu. Large beer garden and welcoming staff. Recommended if you are in the area.

Lovely friendly local pub serving nice food. Steve and the two robs are top draw. Totally recommend if I’m the area. The chicken curry is nice and the Sunday roasts are amazing. #theextreamlyhappycouple #thehappycouple #inlove #thebullinn #orpington

we had a lovely meal here on 15/01/23. Our table of 9 was no issue at all - all the food came out together and was really tasty - would recommend the roast beef! The staff were really friendly and helpful. A lovely afternoon - thank you

The barstaff are friendly and efficient. Sunday lunch is a must. A selection of most popular English fare. Also the desserts are varied and homemade

Old fashioned country pub with two bars and a separate eating area. It has no car park so park in the quiet street at the front. Three hand pump beers, Wells Bombardier, Taylor Landlord and Doom Bar. No TV. Does fantastic Sunday roast lunch at not too steep a price.

In previous years I would have given this pub 4 stars but I feel it has gone slightly downhill a little more recently. From the outside, The Bull Inn looks very appealing and dates back at least a couple of hundred years. Inside the decor is fairly traditional, the atmosphere is warm, and the staff are friendly. There are two bar areas, one to the front and one to the back of the pub, the back area is a bit more suited to dining, but you can eat anywhere you like. Last time I was in here for a drink, I was in the front bar and did think it looked a little tatty in places, could have done with a bit of a makeover and some tlc. Although it has been a while since I've eaten here and I always found the food to be very good. There is a large beer garden with picnic tables which can be quite pleasant in the Summer, but I noticed on a visit that plates that had been finished with took a long time to be cleared away, attracting flies and even a local cat started helping himself to the leftovers on the table. Perhaps I just visited on a bad day, but it didn't seem particularly busy. All in all, not a bad pub for a drink and a meal, definitely one of the better pubs in this area.
