Just had an excellent meal at Ayo Gorkhali and will definitely be making a return visit. Not only was the food delicious but the staff were genuinely interested in providing an excellent service and talking to you about their new restaurant venture. Highly recommend a visit!!
Had a really lovely meal here on Saturday. The food was absolutely gorgeous and great basket of mixed naans on the side aswell. Its a really varied menu and nothing like anywhere else in Stafford. They even sell the traditional gurkha beer here which goes down lovely with the food. We are definitely going to visit again! �

We choose some of our weekends away around the country on where we can eat at Nepalese Gurkha restaurants and this is definitely right up there with some of the best we have been to.
The food was totally amazing with an explosion of flavours.

We’d been hoping that eventually an authentic Nepalese restaurant would open in Stafford after 22 Signal Regiment were posted here, and now it has! All the co-owners are ex Signals, so what a wonderful way to support local business and ex servicemen. We’ll definitely be back.

Me and my partner ate here for the second time, first time being a fortnight ago. Honestly cannot recommend this place enough! The food is so fresh and delicious, not greasy/oily at all and you can tell they really care about the quality of their ingredients and cooking. The meat in the starters and mains was so tender, the pork momos were divine and the himalayan chicken was very tasty. We will certainly continue coming here for the best food we have tasted in Stafford by far. Thank you so much to the wonderful staff that are so welcoming also. Fantastic!
One of the most delicious and memorable meals I've had in the UK. Absolutely outstanding. Perfectly flavored, wonderful textures, fresh and light.
On top of that the staff were lovely. Despite being super busy and stressed, they kept a warm and inviting atmosphere and put a smile on our faces throughout the entire meal.
I will definitely be back for more! :)
Fantastic and consistent quality, friendly service. The only thing that lets this place down is the fine details. Menu's dropping to bits and the same with the table mats. Just this attention to detail would make dining here a spot on experience. I'm not really picking flies but it's just the icing on the cake. Not a criticism, just an observation.
We went as a group of 4, booked for a Thursday night and it was busy which tells you alot. Food was fantastic and staff we're so friendly and efficient. Would definitely go again.
Nice friendly atmosphere, lovely food. Went for traditional Nepalese, and a highway curry. If you like it with a kick, go for a hot level of spice. Medium didn't leave a tingle, but went with caution. Gurka beer is two beers in one bottle. Looks pricey on the menu, but in real terms it's a good price. Small amount of tables. So ring before hand to book or ask about availability, to avoid being turned away. Will visit again.
Makes a change from your typical restaurant/take-outs. The service was great I couldn't fault it. We really enjoyed our mains (I had the chicken sahi medium spice) but the momo starters were a little disappointing. They were slightly oily and the filling was dry and a little bland. But I rate the mains highly. The atmosphere left a little to be desired. I would say 3.5 star as a restaurant, 4.5 star as a take out hence the 4star middle ground. Staff were all lovely though.
The best curry in Stafford! If you are looking for amazing food and friendly staff, this is definitely the best restaurant in Stafford! We tried Lamb xacuti curry, Ropa ko Hans (chef special), and cheese and garlic naan.
Food was delicious. It has the familiarity of s curry whilst being something different. Momos were amazing. Just be warned they take 30 minutes from order.
Went for the thali type dish which had 4 different small bowls and it was a lovely introduction. The other dish is Sahi chicken which was more like something you get from an Indian/Bangladeshi restaurant and has similarities to a tikka masala.
