The restaurant has a carvery and a good selection of main dishes. There's also a café section for lighter meals, and outside seating. Lovely setting by the canal, good food, excellent value, friendly service. The car park can get crowded.
Had lunch here following a walk out from Shugborough Estate. Excellent home cooked Steak Pie, in a nice restaurant. Friendly staff too. Recommended.
We didn't visit Lock House as much as pass by it along the Trent & Mersey Canal towpath.
What we did see, however, was a very picturesque scene. There is - apparently - a cafe here but it wasn't yet open to the public.
Wonderful place all home made food.it will be alfull if it closes for good.such a homely welcoming place the lady's who work there are amazing and so friendly nothing is any trouble so please keep this open again next year there are not many places like this left people travel miles to have the fabulous food and service well done ladys love Andrew little haywood
Always come here on our bikes. Giant tea cakes are the best. Come early as they run out. Sad when they do.
Great traditional cafe restaurant with an exceptionally warm and family friendly style, great home cooked food and snacks, perfect!
