Had a lovely time here buying Christmas decorations.
They have it decorated very nicely for the festive season with a great selection of high end Christmas trees and decorations. They still have all the usual garden centre stuff. With a large selection of indoor and outdoor plants and ornaments.
There is a small toy section for the little ones that although it has a small range it is fairly varied and has a wide cost range .
Fantastic cafe that does a very well price carvery option.
Toilets are kept very clean.
Plenty of parking with a well maintained carpark and verges.
Really nice garden centre and cafe/carvery. The staff here in both areas are naturally pleasant people and it shows.
A vast selection of very healthy plants from annuals through perennials and trees. The pricing of the plants is competitive and there are always a few specials being offered at low prices.
The cafeteria and carvery area is surprisingly large, teamed with incredible and very helpful staff.
During my visit today 19.06.23 I was blown away by their kindness which I really appreciated 💖
***** From me.
Lovely garden centre
Plenty of free parking
Lots of plants to choose from
There little cafe has a nice variety
Lots of seating
A soft play area (at extra cost) although it is smaller than the average
Quite a good selection of giftable items in the shop.
The loos are quite small and one was out of action, sink also, and they are right by the exit so a bit of a walk if you have kids at the soft play.
Would go again.
Don’t expect nice hot carvery after 2pm. The cappuccino was more like hot milk; never again.
Other than that the plants are well kept and presented as are other items for sale. There’s an ok butcher situated outside that’s worth a look.
Pleasant staff. Coffee shop had lots if buckets around catching water from the roof!!! This made us feel like coffee shop was dirty. No very nice when eating.
The Carvery was excellent value at £10.99 and food from the menue was also good value as the portions were excellent and the food was cooked to order so was hot when served to your table. The garden centre had lots of variety of items as you would expect. They also had a soft play area for children 8 years and under at only £2.45 for 90 minutes and had a limit of only 25 children at a time which was excellent value. Would highly recommend and will visit again.
Good choice of plants and garden hardware including a wide variety of ornamental ware.
An interesting mix of giftware is also available.
The café is comfortable with quite an extensive menu at reasonable prices.
Staff are friendly and helpful.
Love the food here. Always busy and sometimes hard to get a place to sit. But food is fantastic. Sausage egg and chips are my fav!! Hot chocolate and other hot drinks are lovely too.
As for the garden centre it's always changing stock to suit the season which is great. Can be a little pricey.
The plants outside are good to look at as long as its not raining. One thing to be careful with is with a trolley the floor can be a bit uneven in places so be careful not to tip trolley sideways over a raised bit of floor or trip over.
My grandparents owned a garden centre a few years ago so I did learn a lot from them about plants, but someone who is just starting out it can be overwhelming. Some signs about what plants can go where and soil it needs and when to plant them would be really useful. Toilets are a bit run down but it's a toilet you aren't spending much of the day in there.
It's very busy with parents and children most of the day.
Seems wheel chair friendly just watch the bumps outside.
We went on Saturday to try and find some tropical looking plants and large pots for our new patio area. We were helped tremendously by a lovely gentleman named Will, he aided us with sourcing the right look and low maintenance plants together with pots etc. Will is a real asset to the centre team and our garden patio now looks amazing.

Lovely garden centre with a wildlife reserve next door. Good for a few hours out. Garden centre has a good range of plants, furniture, pots, indoor ranges and gift ideas.
Loveley place to walk round the nature reserve part at bck...
Love it here, shout out to the butcher outside too 😊
Very nice walk for the dog and kids. There's a good long walk around the lakes an ponds with little bridges and a hide for the Twitchers. The GARDEN CENTER is really nice, especially at Christmas, and dogs are welcome even while you eat 😊 there's also a soft play for the kids.
Just did the walk with my dogs around the well laid out grounds and Riverside walks. Very nice and looks like a big garden centre.
Great local garden centre. Always a vast variety of quality plants and associates at good competitive prices. Something for everyone. Plus a nice cafe. Highly recommend to anyone.
A nice garden centre with a pleasant cafe, and a great selection of Spring bedding plants and bulbs, right next door to the Staffordshire Wildlife Trusts headquarters.
