First time visit but won't be the last. Excellent old fashioned chippy. Best chips I have had in ages will be back to try more very soon.
This British chippy is an oasis in a sea of Chinese chip shops, the best in the area.
However on my last vist at tea time on a Friday at approximately 5 pm we finished up with what looked and tasted like they were reheated to be honest they were not very nice and most them went in the bin.
Top quality chippy, probably the best in the area I've had.
Shame it only opens one evening per week (Friday's) but usually open Monday to Friday at lunchtime.

Its national fish & chip day so we decided to try The Battered Friar for the first time. Everything was delicious and it might become our new regular Friday treat.
