Lovely venue. Window seat offers a stunning view of the canal. Food is nice but not a very wide choice. After breakfast finishes it's mainly sandwiches, soup and baked potatoes. Microwaved not oven baked. Cakes are nice. The staff are friendly and the shop downstairs sells amazing gifts trinket
Nice shop, great for buying gifts. They have everything from hand-made cosmetics and candles to scarfs, purses, jewelery etc. There's also a coffee shop upstairs.

The only quibble is with the salad you get with the pannins etc, it consists mostly of greenery ,
We found 2pieces of tomato and the same of cucumber, and this seems to be the norm, for the extra money it really isn't worth it ,

I was at the the 10th Anniversary celebration of Magpies nest which was given in aid of two very deserving pets charities.
