Just got back from Stamford where my friend and her young son had taken me for lunch at the Kings Head . It was a dreadful day weather wise and we were glad to get in out of the rain. As soon as we entered we were greeted warmly by two young ladies who found us a table even though the pub was busy .
I had something here that I have not had for years, chips so hot I had to blow on them! They were lovely, as was the meal, the beer, the service, and the value for money.
If you like your chips hot, get in there!

Great pub just off the high street in Stamford. We spend an hour here in the courtyard at the back of the pub. There was a great selection of food for all dietary requirements and also lots of different beers on tap. Well worth a visit if you are in Stamford.
