Loved everything about this pub: a gorgeous, characterful building, great interior decor, friendly and helpful staff and absolutely fabulous homemade food. A lot of the ingredients are locally sourced, some from literally just down the road. Oh, and they're dog friendly too! Highly recommended.

A justly well known destination pub. Be ready gor it to be vibrantly full. Meal was excellent, particularly the starters despite their price. They would have made good smal plates by size. We were stuffed!
Pub in Uffington stopped in for lunch on Saturday. There was a little wait for a table but it was worth it in the end. We had a lovely table and very pleasant friendly with staff. Lovely Sunday Roast with family spoiled by a constantly barking dog at the next table. All for pubs having a well behaved dogs welcome policy. This dog was not and probably spoiled the ambience for the family dining next to us too.
Beautiful friendly local pub serving incredible food, we had the monkfish thai curry. Menu was really good, great fish selection & vegetarian options and really good prices. Well worth the walk out of stamford! Be back soon.
