Can’t believe I’ve not been here before despite being local! What a lovely cafe with fresh home cooked food! The sausage rolls were amazing and massive! Chia latte the best I’ve had out! Really nice atmosphere, friendly service and a good amount of space inside and out! It was busy and now I know why!
Can't believe how popular this place is, we were lucky to get a table as early as 10:30. Superb tasting coffee and an exceedingly delicious cheese scone. I must make a return visit to sample the enormous sausage rolls.
Delicious food served quickly in a cosy spot with something for everyone.
We enjoyed a puy lentil bowl, avocado toast with Pinney's smoked salmon and a beetroot & goat's cheese on Harvey + Co sourdough - all delicious!
I visited here Friday lunchtime and all the tables were full, the fact that a lot were reserved speaks volumes as to how popular this place is. There isn't a massive choice on the lunch menu but the food is delicious and good value. Good choice of drinks and a few farm shops nearby to look round after means this is the ideal place to grab something to eat and kill a few hours.
One of my favourite places in the world. Everything I've eaten there had been delicious with the added bonus of it being pretty to look at. The tea is perfect, not a teabag in sight. Beautiful mixed vintage crockery . They manage to pull off the quirky country chic vibe that every place in this area aims for but very few get right. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable, seem kind but not intrusive. I've been there with all kinds of people, to meet with clients having PTSD symptoms, with my elderly neighbor, on dates, with friends and a few times just on my own with my dog. I've never had a bad experience there and there's not too many places anyone can say that about.
The shops there are also nice. Lots of parking. Be careful exiting the car park because stupid people don't slow down on bends
It gets a bit cramped especially in poor weather and it's maybe a little more expensive than some but definitely worth it.
Lovely place. Very friendly. Very kind to dogs. Highly recommended especially if you like sourdough. 👍
Lovely cheese scone and accommodated some change requests to the published menu which was appreciated. Cosy atmosphere.
Lovely cafe, really nice to get a pot of tea with leaf tea, my friends coffee looked delicious too.
We had a cheese scone with chilli jam and a Bakewell Tart.
Suggest you call and book a table at lunch times if you want to sit inside, as it was busy at 12.00 today.
Lovely little place staff friendly and the food was a delight. Recommend a visit!
DELIGHTED THE CAFE HAS REVERSED ITS DECISION AND IS NOW ACCEPTING CASH AGAIN 😍 SO WE ARE NOW ONCE AGAIN ENJOYING THE DELIGHTS OF THE GREAT COFFEE AND WONDERFUL LUNCHES
Sadly have to give the Barn Cafe one star for its recent decision to go cashless. Please reconsider. Say that you prefer card by all means but allow cash... lots of people have gone back to using cash to help them budget in these hard times. What about tips for your staff? What will you do when the card payments won't work? Close for the day, or will it suit you to use cash then? Reluctantly will be taking my custom elsewhere 😪
OMG!!!! Absolutely fantastic food. The last review said pricey fir a sandwich. Well, you don't just get a sandwich, it includes crisps and a beautiful salad. All food coming out of the kitchen looked amazing. My mum had a brie and onion marmalade toastie. It came with a lovely salad and crisps. I ordered a savoury afternoon tea. It comprised of a cheese scone, amazingly fresh, a chuck of cheese, Stokes chilli jam, grapes, and a pot of tea which gave me three cups. My sister is vegetarian and had lots of choice from the menu. She plumped for avocado smash on sourdough with smoked salmonand loved it. Everything was brilliant. All bread was artisan breads and superbly fresh. Couldn't fault anything. Definitely be popping by very soon indeed. We even brought some cakes and cheese scones home as they all looked so amazing and they certainly didn't disappoint.
Very good selection of cakes (including gluten-free) and light lunches. Its popularity does put some pressure on the staff and means that they may run out of soup, etc. Excellent coffee.
Great little cafe with delicious cakes & food
My first time to the Cafe (we've used the farm shop a few times) and I'll definitely go back! I had the Grange Breakfast which was well cooked and just the right amount. The staff were friendly and service was quick (though it wasn't very busy). There's also a tempting selection of sandwiches and cakes. And not too expensive.
Really good food.
Above average service.
Choose your seat wisely or the draft will get hou .
Have been going to this cafe for many years and really love it. There gluten free brownies and cakes are fabulous and scrumpy. Love 💘 the mocha, its special. Staff are really lovely and very helpful. The atmosphere is relaxed. The sausage rolls are fabulous, really tasty. All the food is very good. It is definitely worth a visit ☺
