What can I say about this place x amazing food, amazing staff, superb wedding co-ordinator in James and the absolutely best most fantastic place to get married. All I can say is thank you so much x highly recommend to anyone x
Just came back from an amazing night staying in the new pamper suite rooms - have to say we had a FANTASTIC night; rooms were amazing as was the food from the afternoon tea/morning breakfast and the treatments were top notch; just what I needed. My only critic is that there are no windows; so by the time morning came I was ready to leave as started to feel a little claustrophobic....we had use of the outdoor courtyard area which we certainly made use of in the glorious sunshine but would have been nice if there was a door/window just off from our hot tub (bunkhouse room) that you could open and feel like you were outside more (although if its raining I really wouldn't have been bothered). Other than that AMAZING.....and such a bargain. Looking forward to booking again. Highly recommend
We were lucky enough to celebrate our wedding in The Old Barn yesterday (24th July 2018) and what a celebration it was.
Every aspect of our wedding has been outstanding. From our taster night, to our stag and hen party, my pamper package, our whole day and night the staff at the causey have been incredible.
The team are dedicated, professional and just wonderful. Emma our wedding coordinator couldn’t have done more for us. Everything was so well organised and well put together. Their recommended suppliers have been incredible too.
Excellent value for money, top quality service, the highest of high standards, incredible facilities. I would recommend them to anyone.
Thank you so very much for giving us a day that was beyond our wildest dreams.

We attended a wedding in the barn yesterday 02/06/2018 we hadn't heard of this place before this and can I just say if your looking for a venue that has plenty of room and privacy this place has it all its lovely well presented both inside and out. The food was lovely and the staff were great as well. Having left the the car overnight we decided to go for Sunday lunch today 03/06, I honestly didn't think We would get in looking at all the cars and people heading in but this place is huge. Again food was lovely and staff great. Highly recommend would love to stay in one of the rooms as they look great. We will be back at some stage. Thanks for hospitality.
I have stayed and ate here many times. In 2016 I was proposed to here and on Monday gone, 2018, I had a wedding in the Durham Suite. It was amazing and went above all expectations. The staff are amazing - friendly and very helpful. Nothing was an issue.
Everyone at the wedding commented how lovely the food was and we all had a great night. The wedding coordinator and DJ made sure everything ran smoothly.
Thank you very much for everything - I would recommend your rooms, food and weddings to anyone. Perfect �

Best afternoon tea we have ever had. Lovely place to visit would highly recommend this place . Staff very friendly and so organised
Excellent! Comfy room, great breakfast, friendly and welcoming staff, gorgeous gin distilled on-site, cool decor, only 30mins walk into Stanley and very close to Beamish Museum.
Blue Bell pub next door does a nice meal too if you fancy eating elsewhere, but the food here is great too. Can't fault it �
We came for Sunday carvery last week with guests from Cheshire we had with us. They couldn't believe the brilliant service we all had even when clearly on a hot sunny day the place was super busy. The food was amazing and the service excellent. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Excellent pub portions are far to big but excellent staff are very friendly and attentive we go quite often there is an excellent vegan menu for all those who like that sort of thing
