Brilliant chippy in Staveley. Have passed it by for years but tried for first time recently. Absolutely the best fish and chips I’ve ever had I think

Delicious fish and chips! Ordered a small fish and chips with a fish cake and it was more food than I could manage. Would definitely recommend the fish cake, so tasty! Really friendly service too. Great addition to our trip to the Lakes and we will definitely be back.
Superb chippy. Relaxed vibe when ordering, decent speed and freshly cooked to order. Just what's needed on a wet cold night! Reasonable prices, good portion size, lovely fish, chips, peas and Chinese curry sauce. My wife's cheese and potato pie was great to dip her chips in also! Definately recommen
my husband and i ordered the fish and chips, scampi and curry sauce for takeaway after a long day hiking. it was so good we came back for more! best fish and chips we've ever had

Best fish & chips we’ve ever had! Chips are cooked to perfection, haddock was fresh and the batter was so light and crispy. Curry sauce was delicious. Didn’t even get a picture because we devoured our food! Wish we lived closer 😁 Very good prices and friendly staff too, an overall greatly memorable

Probably the best Fish and Chip I’ve ever had. The fish was just so delicious and not oily at all! The Chinese sauce was also amazing. It’s definitely a must if you come to Staveley.
Having just spent a week in the Lakes and being based in Staveley. I can honestly say this is the best chip shop I have been to in years. We are a family of 5, and everyone really enjoyed their meal. Hence no pics, too busy eating. It was so good we ate there twice!

This chippy did the trick after a long drive to our holiday cottage on a cold November night. Fresh chips, light crispy batter and good mushy peas. And two small fish with 1 regular chips and extras for £13 was great value. Can’t understand people’s obsession with getting ridiculously huge portions
