Had an early meal with family for my birthday this evening. Food was lovely, nice size portions just enough. Usually some places put way to much on one plate. Presentation was lovely. Service was really good, friendly and would highly recommend The Gin and Elderflower cheesecake. Nicest dessert I had for ages. The waitresses that served us wished me a happy birthday and put a little candle in my dessert without anyone mentioning it. (Unfortunately didn’t catch there names )A little thing but a thoughtful touch and was very sweet of them. Nice relaxed atmosphere will definitely be back. My Dad is usually never that impressed whenever we eat out but even he enjoyed it too. Thanks so much for making my birthday really appreciate it

10th Wedding Anniversary, decided to give this lovely establishment a try, and we are very pleased. Starters (I had the fish cake, good portion size) and mains (I had the pulled pork, outstanding) were excellent. Nice decor, no loud intrusive music, and our server Megan was a credit to the team, engaging, knowledgable, charming, helpful, a delight and perfect for the restaurant, and it's nice to get a waitress with a personality. So, well done cooking staff and servers. We certainly enjoyed it, and we are keen to go again, sooner rather than later. Thank you.

Such a lovely place, great food and outstanding customer service! Unfortunately our daughter was poorly halfway through our meal and the staff were great with packing up our food and were fast and very efficient... I will definitely be returning very soon!

Visited Rump and Wade for lunch today with the family, great food and great service, the pork belly was beautiful and the Sunday roast even managed to please my exceptionally fussy father. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and there's a lovely friendly atmosphere throughout the place, staff are friendly and attentive but not overbearing. One of the most pleasing aspects was the bill, I've paid far more for inferior food and drink my only disappointment is that's it's taken me so long to try this place. Will certainly be going back again soon

I visited Rump and Wade for the first time (since it was the Cromwell) on Sunday with Very Good Friends. We decided to eat there, they have Fish Cakes we had Squid 🦑 (the best I’ve ever eaten). Then we all had the Rump of Lamb - OMG it was delicious, each and everyone of us cleared our plates. Three of us had desserts, The Crumble, again delicious. I know I will eat there again, in fact time and time again. Great atmosphere and Amazing food, our compliments to the Chef !!!! 😁😁😁😁 Ps I’m told the Fish Cakes where also very good 😁😁

Celebrated mine and my partner's anniversary with a lovely dinner. The venue comes very nicely presented with wood and marble features, clean and welcoming atmosphere. Got seated in the main dining room, had a couple of cocktails while waiting for our starters , then wine with our mains. My steak was perfectly cooked to my taste. Overall was a delightful experience and definitely reccomend.

Went with friends for Sunday roast although menu was very varied if you didn't want a roast. Lots of other imaginative, tasty options. Food was excellent, good portions and well prepared. Couldn't fault any of it, beef was generous and tender, potatoes crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. Three course menu was excellent value with lots of choice, all served by friendly efficient staff in classy comfortable surroundings. I will definitely be back when I'm next in the area.

We only ate here for my breakfast as part of my stay. We quite enjoyed the breakfast offerings - traditional English food items, cereals, fruits, and pastries. The new and improved furnishings are a bonus. Perfect dining experience in my opinion.

Had a family meal here on 25th May and could not fault anything. Service was really friendly and professional and the food was amazing. Also had a large party of us on the terrace the night before and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Excellent!

Very good experience at Rump & Wade. The booking process was excellent with easy confirmation received The staff were excellent, attentive and helpful in explaining the Bottomless Brunch options. Pick a brunch dish and compliment with one of five bottomless drink choices. Simple. Unless you are me and pay the extra for the Bottomless Gin option where you had the choice of all the gins on the menu excluding Monkey 47. You cannot switch drinks once you have made your choice Sat in a booth with if you are a little on the larger side may be a squeeze. I personally would have preferred a table but that my own preference. The food was good and the staff were never far away if you needed a top up or more food. On a Saturday it was not too busy and the atmosphere was really relaxed and good. Definitely a place I will be attending again in the future.

A wonderful addition to the high street. Great food -Mushroom and pancetta linguine to start and Shin of beef for mains.... Eton mess for dessert is great too! Cocktails are a winner and Real ale is served. Nice for a few drinks or to dine.

Accommodating for kids with a good wide menu. Lack of steak options despite the name though!

My meal was ok but some of my friends weren't too impressed with it, bit pricey but spotless and great personable service.
