Decided to give this little gem a whirl for lunch. Although very busy our wait for food was pretty good, lovely friendly staff, warm and welcoming. Food was delicious, hot and very tasty. Would highly recommend the homemade burger. Would definitely return again, thank you

Had a fantastic dinner here. Plenty of parking. We sat in the bar area where dogs were welcome. Local beer was lovely and served from the barrel on the bar. Wine list was short but perfectly formed. Staff were very friendly and efficient but we never felt rushed. The food was excellent. The local crab was delicious and the steaks were cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend.

10/10 AMAZING! Can’t recommend this pub enough. The food is more than just posh pub grub. Veggie friendly and plenty of choice for meat eaters. The staff are super friendly and always very attentive. We drove almost 2 hours since finding it at Christmas, well worth it

Fantastic lunch. We just happened to drive past and expected a "pub lunch" but this was so much more. Great flavours and a good selection of interesting food. Excellent team and a lovely atmosphere. Not cheap, but certainly worth it.

Been past this pub so many times and wondered what it was like. This time stopped and was not disappointed. Great old english pub with loads of charm and character. I would recommend stopping and making a visit if you are in the area

My husband and I had made plans with my parents to meet at the Red Lion for lunch and a walk, unfortunately when we arrived they were fully booked. My parents were walking from Blakeney with friends and were going to be over an hour and a half, so my husband and I started to leave when a staff member ran out to tell us that a table had just opened up. We asked how big and she told us it was just for two people, so we decided to stay for lunch as we were hungry and they were finishing serving at 2pm and it was already 1:30pm. We had the roast chicken, potatoes, kale and broccoli for two with pigs in blankets on the side for our mains and the white chocolate cremeux and a cheeseboard for dessert. My husband said it was the best roast chicken he had ever had. The service was exceptional considering how busy the pub was. Every member of staff was kind and happy to help us with everything. I cannot wait to come back to this pub again!

Very close to 5 stars all round ( not rooms, didn't stay there) Service was very good except they forgot to put a crumble dessert aside after asking for it, Then informed they had sold out.

Really tasty food, locally sourced. Interesting menu with good portions. Friendly, efficient service by a wood burner. Perfect for a January lunch! Recommended very warmly.

First rate food beautifully cooked and presented. Menu is reassuringly short so everything is prepared fresh and to a high standard; think high end restaurant rather than pub grub. If you want a huge choice of cheap and cheerful freezer to microwave food served up by 'chef ping' this is not the place to go. Staff were attentive in an unfussy way. Very impressed. Our only disappointment was that we couldn't return the following night as they were fully booked.

What a lovely place. It’s not just the location: the excellent pub food, drink and surroundings leave you feeling rested and at ease. And the staff are especially welcoming.

A nice pub with friendly and very helpful service. Nicely decorated and plenty of places to sit inside and out ...... it's also dog friendly. My only criticism would be the food, although it was well cooked and very tasty, the main course was the size of a normal pub starter and expensive at £23.00 for a very small portion of pork belly. It's a shame that we both felt the food was not good value for money.
