Review The White Bear Inn - Stillington

Just enjoyed my Sunday lunch with a party of 5 - 3 adults and two children aged 3 and 5. Recommend their poached haddock fillet and fruit crumble. Was also able to get a pint of bitter - their own beer.

What a wonderful place. The atmosphere is so cosy, food is delicious and staff are so kind! My partner and I stopped by on our way back from exploring the local forest with our little corgi and felt very very welcome. Amazing experience. We will certainly be coming back.

Good service and excellent food for our Anniversary meal. We were staying at Huby, the next village and we're definitely impressed with this place. If you are around, book in and give it a try.

what a Gem … we were on holiday in the area and popped in for a evening meal, it was beautiful, proper food, cooked well, and presentation on the plate was A1, service was really lovely and really worth a visit but I imagine they fill up quickly so a call ahead would be advisable .

Had a lovely walk to this place with my girls from a local campsite and it was so worthy of a good review. Every member of staff was friendly and attentive. The menu was brilliant in the choices it offered and very reasonably priced. There is also a lovely children's menu. They sell a plethora of gin which made me very happy! I recommend making a visit and I am sure the staff will go the extra mile for you as their customers. Will definitely visit again when in the area.

Ace. Just home from a meal for our lad's A Levels and every single member of staff was lovely. Food was mega and atmosphere was great. Proper nice night. Thanks!!!

Visited the WBI whilst on holiday in the village. Really friendly and welcoming pub - a warm welcome from both the landlord and the locals. Food was excellent and the local beer kept me entertained for the week. Highly recommended.

This is a fantastic pub with a good choice of beers and great food. I love the Sunday lunch choice, which is changed weekly. The bar area is dog friendly and my dog Oscar is always given a great welcome by the staff. I would recommend this pub but also recommend that you ring up to book.

Fabulous country pub that always delivers. Warm and welcoming host/landlord, friendly and efficient staff and great food. Although my fab venison steak was a little over done for my liking and beyond the medium rare ordered. But great, and we will be back.

we booked last min on sat and well amazing. we had my little boy with us who is dairy free and I cannot thank the staff enough. they made sure he could have something to eat and instead of ice cream for pudding they provided a dairy free option. we where made to feel really welcome. perfect atmosphere. we had a lovely relaxed meal. stess free. thank you :)

Stayed there for a week. Lovely cottage. Wouldn’t wish for better hosts. The free welcome basket was a lovely touch as for the pub didn’t have any food but what I saw looked great. Looking at or next stay and looking nowhere other then here. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We stayed in a cottage owned by The White Bear and is located at the back of the pub. 100% excellent experience. The cottage is perfect and dog friendly. The owners could have done nothing more. They were perfect hosts. When we arrived there was a hamper waiting for us with lots of nice goodies in. The cottage has all the nice extras in. No trouble with being give washing powder dishwasher tablets. Supplied a brilliant hand drawn map of the village showing the local facilities and walks. We had 5 evening meals in the pub, all of which were perfect and priced well. The owners really could not have done any more. We had a brilliant holiday and will be booking a cottage to come and stay again.

Fabulous home cooked food. We were lucky to get the last table on Friday night. Impeccable service and super value. And it is our local for the next week. Locals even said hello as we walked in! Love it!
