Incredible experience coming here as a solo female traveler. Very friendly staff helped with choices and showed curiosity and kindness. Food was phenomenal!

This restaurant has won awards for a reason. We have been here two times and both times the food was simply exquisite! Not only the ingredients used are first quality, but they are also put together perfectly! This time my husband ordered a Scottish haddock roll stuffed with smoked salmon, dill sauce, vegetables and mashed potatoes. I ordered one of the chef’s special of the day. I ordered pan seared salmon with a shellfish creamy sauce, season vegetables and I asked to swap the potatoes it comes with by puy lentils. Both dishes were delicious! The service is great, people are friendly and very helpful if you have questions. Portions and prices are right, too. I would say that this has one of the best meals we’ve had in Scotland. Will definitely come back over and over again! It gets busy pretty quickly, so it would be best if you make a reservation ahead of time.

Visited Brea last night finally and wow it was fantastic. Staff friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and it really is a must to visit. I had the scallops, sea bream and cheesecake. Highly recommend. Wine and drinks were enjoyed too. Will be back again for sure.

Really good food. The portions are on the small side. The starters and desserts cost between £10-20 and the main courses are between £20-30. I would love to come back another time.

We visited the castle and looked for a place open with good reviews. When we arrived they had the 'closed' sign but we noticed some people inside and asked. Fortunately they received us. The food was amazing, they had a swordfish that I really loved, just look at the picture. My husband asked for the venison and it was very good as well. Super recommendable.

An excellent meal... the ribeye was melt-in-your mouth tender, and the prawns were an excellent accompaniment.

Enjoyed a nice small meal here of seared scallops and a bowl of delicious cullen skink soup (sort of a cream-based fish chowder). Parking was surprisingly not difficult although we had to pay the street meter 2 pounds. Service was quick and very pleasant.

Booked in at last minute and they were very accommodating. Food excellent and filling. The Cullen Skink was wonderful. We were stuffed after 2 courses. An excellent homage to all Scottish food. Make sure you book in advance because there is demand to dine here and it’s the best way to ensure you can eat when you want to. A must for a visit to Stirling
