We popped in on our way home to Fife yesterday from a great day out at Hill House. Pleasantly surprised that we got a table straight away as we hadn't booked. Obviously just got in before the rush as it started filling up quickly. Served straight away and had no time at all to wait for our meal. Enjoyed our meal but had eaten way too much to have dessert....
All the Staff were so friendly and attentive.
Will deffo be back.

Couldn’t fault it and I’ve managed bars and restaurants for over 10 years. Food was great (it’s a pub, not a fine dining experience), staff were friendly, efficient and when I commented about being in a draught, rectified it straight away. Cheerful and just what we needed after a long drive. Beer lines are clean too �
What a gem of a place to have lunch after an 8 hour drive from South West England.
Plenty of parking at the rear of the restaurant. And no steps to deal with, so easy access for disabled customers.
Our waiter for this visit was Lewis Brown, he was very polite, helpful and importantly he also checked to ensure we had no food allergies which my wife does have.
Food was excellent!! I had the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Burger and my wife their Signature Burger. Both were excellent as was the home made coleslaw and the French fries. We were both full and shared a Espresso Martini Tiramisu which we both agreed was the best dessert we had had in a long while.

Service was great. Very attentive and accommodating of our baby. Food was really tasty. We also saw how accommodating the staff were to other families with additional needs. Great family friendly area. We weren’t in the bar section but it looked lovely and cosy (nice wood fire burning). Reasonably priced too. We had a great time and will recommend.

Reception & check in was excellent, our room was as expected, could do with a freshen up. A little dated but perfectly fine for 1 night stay. Great location.
The young man who seated us for breakfast was efficient & very nice.
We enjoyed the variety of food on offer but sadly the cooking & temperature of the cooked for was below an acceptable standard. Overdone fried eggs, underdone bacon & all items tepid rather than hot
What a cute little place! We had dinner in the pub and the food was delicious. Our waiter Lewis Brown went above and beyond to give great food/drink recommendations and was super nice and helpful. Totally recommend this Inn for your stay in Stirling area, but do visit their pub.
Greeted and seated quickly and drinks brought to table. Party of 7. Server had a full knowledge of the menu and was chatty and friendly. All three courses were served timeously and were of good quality and well cooked. The bill was accurate and quickly brought to hand. Overall an enjoyable experience

I recently visited the Highland Gate pub and had a pleasant experience. The staff were friendly and attentive, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The pub had a cozy ambiance with comfortable seating. The menu offered a decent variety of options, and the fish and chips were satisfactory. The drink menu had a good selection, catering to different tastes. The service was satisfactory, with knowledgeable staff and prompt service. Overall, I would recommend the Highland Gate pub for a decent dining experience.
Great place for lunch , staff so friendly manager made us feel welcome but best of all they made my wee dog welcome. They have a fur baby area and brought him a bowl of fresh water. Food tasted yummy I had the prawn cocktail followed by the chicken BLT . Hubby and daughter enjoyed their lunch too. Would go back.
Great pub and food was really nice. Menu had a lot of options so all diets are catered for. Kids menu was well priced and a few options for children. Service was really good. Only down side is the portion size of chips wasn't enough but apart from that the food was top notch.
Food was good quality and most importantly hot and plentiful.
Service was great, happy person serving makes a difference.
Only one comment - draughty, could have been warmer inside, noticed this the last visit as well.

Our server bent over backwards for our group of women, some particularly fussy. All enjoyed their dinners. I'm sorry I didn't get his name, but he said, "I'm a problem solver", and he smoothed over the minor problems to make the evening spectacular!
