Don't be fooled. This is a very friendly pub and an awesome quiz night on a Thursday. Do yourself a favour, and chat to the cheeky bar staff and enjoy a well - kept pint at reasonable prices.

Robert Ferguson much loved by his Aussie Ferguson cousin . Such a small world and such a memorable trip. The William Wallace pub is my Scottish home. I will never forget that day Robert! Thanks. We will be back so you can meet the kids x

Never been before. Today my car broke down at the roundabout outside and after getting off the phone standing in the rain. An absolute legend appeared with an umberella. I ended up inside the pub and we watched all the people get mad at this poor wee broken down honda Absolute legend, I dont know yer name. Not all heroes wear capes, some pour pints :) thank you for today!

Awesome pub. The bartender told me the place is older than the monument.

The bar manager was very welcoming of me (unpaying customer) who just wanted somewhere to rest and get a glass of water. I had no issues from the bar staff or the other customers in the pub, would recommend to anyone passing by if they just want to stop by for a drink!

Local pub with a good selection of beers, friendly service and local frequent customers, tables were clean. Offers live music, pool table, TV for sports. Good atmosphere and prices, if you're in for one quick pint remember to carry cash.

Great little propper boozer, the bar man was very polite and well dressed, and the locals were just as friendly as the barman, it's our 3rd visit, every time on the way back from climbing up the monument 😁

We were staying with our Canadian family in a house close by. On the last night of our holiday we saw they had a quiz on and thought it would be a fun way to end the holiday. We missed the start, but they let us join in anyway. Lovely traditional local 'boozer'. Drink prices were cheap compared to other places we'd been, and we were made to feel very welcome.

Have not been in a pub for some time. This is the epitomy of a old fashioned pub. Drinks served by the Publican who stood for no nonsense from the customers. Quite a decent selection of draught beers and ciders. Some eloquant malts on the gantry too. No food just the usual crisps nuts and such like.
