Lovely pub. Roaring fire. Unfortunately the pork roast dinner was very fatty but staff just brushed it off as 'that is what pork belly is like". After complaining a second time, a couple of slices of beef were bought out.

We dropped in on the way back from the coast. We were expecting pub grub but the menu was way better than that.
A good selection of beers, wines and soft drinks.
My partner had the rib-eye steak with huge chips and raved about it.
The chef made the pearl barley risotto vegan-friendly and it was delicious.
Portion sizes were generous and we were too full for afters.
We'll visit again for sure.

We went here for an afternoon drink and ended up having some food. We had the salt and chilli squid and some fries. Presentation was very good and was very tasty food. Chips were lovely and also seasoned perfectly with salt. Beer garden very nice and a sun trap. Small play area and lovely lush grass with lots of benches to sit on.

Really nice pub good decor. Outside the flowers and baskets are beautiful. Staff were happy to talk and chatty which was nice to see. Food was very good. Thoroughly recommend.

Lovely little pub with huge garden ideal for family meals out. We were returning after we stumbled on them last year after being treated badly by the Apache café. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the food is delicious 😋. Not your average run of the mill pub food. Will deffo be going back

A large, but welcoming Inn, with a huge garden full of sun on this summer's evening. Inside is cosy and welcoming, as were the staff. The local dark ale was good (Hop Back Brewery) as was the food. Reasonable prices and some interesting items on the menu as well as the pub basics. A very enjoyable evening spent...thank you 😊

Really friendly landlord - superb garden size for the kids and we caught it just before it got busy; bonus! (Sunday at 2pm there were only a handful of people enjoying the sunshine). Lovely sandwiches too

Really enjoyable stay. Well looked after by all the staff, especially Mark the owner.
I stayed at the George for a week whilst in England to visit family. Dealing with the establishment was simple and easy, the staff were always courteous and attentive. Breakfast was exceptional - so much so I often added my family to the breakfast reservation. I will happily return there the next time I am in the UK. Wishing all the best to Mark and the team. Thanks for making my stay with you so simple and relaxing.
