Whats a lovely place to have some Sunday Roast after a Middlewood Walk! And as a cherry on the top - probably best Sticky Toffee Pudding we've had in years! Well done Red Lion, keep up the good work...
The food was absolutely brilliant, and we didn't have to wait very long for it either. Good sized portions. The staff were very attentive, making sure everything was okay. The building was well maintained, and the decor really gave the place a homey feel. I recommend the steak and ale pie
Always great food and attentive staff. The dining area is split between casual and fine dining. Both are top draw. We have yet to have a bad meal there. The meat is excellent. Parking is good. I would certainly recommend it. Been in again for 🥩 and a 🧀 board. Loved it.
Cosy pub, good after walk in National Trust-Lyme. Very generous portion of beef in Sunday roast, delicious Banofee cheesecake, good customer service.
The staff were fantastic. As a large party with no booking, they were very helpful in moving tables to accommodate us. The service was spot on throughout and the food was excellent. 'Tuesday fish and chips' offer is highly recommended. For those with dogs, the bar is a dog friendly zone with dog tre
Great pub for lunch after a walk in the Peak District, interior is modern and stylish and the menu is really good with plenty of choice. Great selection of Robinsons ale and best of all for us they not only welcome dogs but they also added a sausage to our order and served it in a doggy bowl. Custom
Stopped here on the way to the airport for a cheeky top up before airport prices.. Food was nice and was a reasonable price, nice waiters and plenty of seats.. However the vegan offer was only slightly less than the meat offerings (0.50p less!!??). Worth a stop...
Friday afternoon 3.30 to 5.30. The food was excellent, but the service was poor. I went to the bar to order the food as we were waiting too long for the waitress to return to take our order. I suspect that the staff were being briefed by management during service as they were chatting 🤔 at one end
Good customer service; when our waitress asked about the meal she took on board a disappointment with the portion size of the ravioli dish (lovely as it was) as it felt more like a starter. After consulting with a senior staff my partner was offered a dessert on the house which was an acceptable com
Came for a bank holiday lunch with the family. Really nice place with a relaxing and laid-back atmosphere. Food was great, we all enjoyed our meals and the staff were all friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be coming again!
