I deleted my old review of this because it's been taken over by new people. This is a really lovely community local with a great atmosphere and a decent selection of beers. I only popped in for a couple of hours but I'll be going back soon.

Friendly and very knowledgeable owner, great selection of beers, European/UK/US style, plus rotating kegs, best thing is takeaway cans are from the fridge!

Nice little beer shop, under new ownership. They currently have real ale on two draught pumps, and hope to move to three in due course. You can buy beer in a bag to take out there too!

An excellent choice of imported, beers, lagers and ciders all at a fair price. A small bar, but warm comfortable and friendly. What more could a p*** head ask for?. P.S Bar man is a spitting image of Big Al from the Winchester pub in the film Shaun of the Dead.

This place would make an absolute fortune if on Heaton Moor Road, but tucked away on some obscure residential side street is a criminal waste of an excellent bar with good company and a fantastic range of local and European beers. It is a little gem, but unfortunately a hidden gem.
