The Moor Restaurant

A true hidden gem! We went for the three courses and although we had heard great things (Write up in Eat Manchester) we were so impressed. The staff are so lovely and chilled. The environment is casual and they let the food speak for itself. I would compare the standard of food to Hispi or Erst. 100% recommend.

Modern British Bistro as it should be done. Absolutely fantastic, we had our belated Xmas gathering here and we we're blown away. We honestly can stop thinking or talking about the quality and construction of each dish. A changing menu that when we visited had a classic selection of dishes that were treated with such passion and attention to detail it really highlighted what can be achieved when every ingredient is thought through. Nothing on the plate was there without merit and every element could be tasted. Even without an official Vegan menu the offering (which gave a choice at each course, a rarity in a lot of restaurants) was the best I've eaten anywhere, even from dedicated vegan restaurants, they even added an off menu side so I didn't feel left out. Service was personal, attentive and a credit to the experience. A very well curated wine and drinks list, gutted I was driving as there was a great whisky selection to finish on, I'll have to be sure to get a taxi on my next visit which I'm hoping will be very soon!

We just had a fantastic meal here. Perfect portion sizes so you can have 3 courses and not feel overwhelmed. The flavours of all 3 of my dishes were perfectly balanced. The restaurant is really nice inside without trying too hard to be unnecessarily posh, and the gentleman who served us was great. Having recently moved to the area I think this is a place we will be visiting regularly.
