Visited on a Wednesday evening for banquet night and my mother-in-law’s birthday. Staff were very friendly and hospitable upon arrival and we were seated quickly and brought drinks straight away.
The menu had plenty of choice and all allergens were clearly labelled. Lots of vegetarian choices were available.
Our food was brought out quickly and was piping hot and delicious. We were even able to take our leftovers home with us.
The staff were very friendly throughout our visit and checked in to see how we were doing and if we were enjoying our food.
All round a lovely visit and would definitely return in future.
Me and my parents went here for a nice meal as we have wanted to go to an Indian restaurant for ages, and so we decided to come to Jolsha, Norton. It took only a few minutes before we got seated, which was good since the day we went was extremely busy. The atmosphere was nice and we felt welcome but the tables were really close together so everyone was packed in quite tight, but this wasn't much of a problem for me. This restaurant isnt wheelchair friendly by the way, as there is not much room to maneuver and there is a large step to get inside the restaurant. A waiter brought out 4 dips (without asking - and this happened to everyone) and poppadoms. We assumed these were free as they were given out without asking, but later on we were charged for them! Each dip being over £1 and the poppadoms being £1 each. The other problem was that it took 1 hour and a half for our food to come! And this is the normal sort of waiting time - there werent many people in the restaurant actually eating because barely anyone had their food. Although, we ordered a cheesy naan, peshwaari naan, egg pilau x2, lamb pasanda, chicken korma, king prawn tikka masala and anion bhajis. The food here is very filling and extremely nice, and I would still go here again. It was still a nice experience even though there was a long wait - but if anyone at Jolsha is reading this - prioritise your in store customers over takeaway orders and have faater service!
I love this place. Food is super tasty 😋
great food and great time had with family
Stunning food, definitely return here again.
Poppadoms and pickles were nice and fresh, Poppadoms were just made. Generous portions of onions salad.
starters were tikka chicken and chicken wings they were some of the best.
Mains were tikka masala and garlic chicken, with onion pilau rice and chips..all were equally lovely.
5/5 good job guys.
Great food and good degree of choice on the menu, they did do far more than the standard options too.
Not my first visit, and won't be my last
Really delicious food. Very surprised by complexity of the taste. I would say this place rivals and arguably surpasses Vadah in Stockton. Extremely impressed.
Tastefully decorated restaurant with a superb menu. Fabulous food, great service and reasonable prices. Definitely recommend - will visit again while here on holiday from Canada.
Always have a fantastic meal there one off my favourite places
Delicious food and good service. We had a mix of curries and tandoori grilled meats with rice and salad. Delicious.
One of the best Indians I've had in the North East. Very efficient and friendly, canny expensive but suppose ok for Norton. Generous potions, superb starters, chicken tikka, excellent mains, quick service. Can't really knock it down from 5 stars but love Indian and Chinese chips, always chunky and homemade. These were by far the worst chips I've ever had at an Indian, was shocked and disappointed, cheap thin oven chips, tasteless, only had a couple. But apart from this a good experience and would go back.
Went there with my other half the food was lovely the service was great friendly people in there
Been coming for a long time now , always made to feel welcome. Service great, food amazing . Been tonight for my birthday and enjoyed my complimentary bailies. Love coming always recommended the place.
